Matt Jones thinks we have a really good shot at a “kid currently playing in the NCAA Sweet 16”……..

Regarding the BYU players it is also possible that they overpaid guys NIL wise this year to stay and some guys need to take a cut because they are paying Dybantsa ? spelling so much.

Yep Im fine with it. He was asked to do a lot this year but struggled with SEC competition. Wish him all the best though, whether here or elsewhere.
I do think Perry has a 20-30% chance to develop into a solid contributor his JR & SR seasons.
Noah on the other hand, I think for him it is 20-30% next year, then 40-60% chance his JR & SR seasons.

Having a large wallet and willing to spend most of it is entirely 2 different animals. BYU is a Football school first and foremost.

I’m already overwhelmed with the transfer portal. I can’t keep track of it. I’m just gonna sit back and wait for news of commitments
Yep, it makes your head spin trying to keep up. But, it is sort of fun though I'd rather get rid of the portal. I'm like you, I'll just sit back and wait for someone to sign on the line. I do enjoy the capsule summaries of the best options though.

The NIT games are:

North Texas vs. UC Irvine and Chattanooga vs. Loyola Chicago.

There's also a new "College Basketball Crown" tourney with Utah, Butler, George Washington, Boise State, Nebraska, Arizona State, Washington State and Georgetown.
North Texas HC headed to WVA

I just don't see how the Smith thing makes any sense. The kid is Purdue through and through. He's an Indiana kid, Purdue was his only power conference offer, and Purdue players have been incredibly loyal to the school and don't really transfer.
he supposedly was making 1.9 million with Purdue & thought I read where he signed something else yesterday
he is good, but not worth that much

I don’t follow recruiting or the portal like I used to…just kinda wait to evaluate once we get guys signed or make a short list.

Any idea out of those teams who potential worth targets are?

He's a first team AA at his childhood dream school that he grew up an hour from. He's going on their Mt Rushmore. He's not transferring for his senior year.
“Everyone has a price" means that anyone can be persuaded or influenced to do something, even if it's something they wouldn't normally do, if offered a sufficient incentive or benefit, often financial.

That account said he followed the whole ucla team and that was the basis for it, but he didn’t. As I type I realize how ridiculous it is that we care this much about a player lol.
how many times have kids followed UK players only to pick another school

Not Richie Saunders, he has already rejected us before

So which other BYU player could be the choice
BYU has a couple of big European forwards that are pretty good
can't remember their name, but they know that with all the $ paid to AJ, they won't get much playing time

I know it's not gonna happen, but I would laugh my tail off and crap a brick if Ali Khalifa transferred to UK. Get fixed up on the Cards' dime and then come back to play to Pope. 😂

Now granted, UofL is no longer playing in the post season at all, but still... I would laugh. So, I dunno who it would be. Jones said we had a stud already locked up last week and we haven't heard sheet about that.
This guy is not a stud.

don't think so any more
read where the new coach is tight with the jazz owner & he has agreed to give him plenty of NIL $

People underestimate severely how much money Mormons and the state of UTAH due to its rapidly expanding tech industry itself have to throw at this now.

Fun fact: it was Mormon bankers who loaned the money to the mob to build Las Vegas.

I went to high school and played baseball and golf with his Dad and know the family really well. Although Travis is die hard UK fan through and through and grew up wearing nothing but Cats gear and rooting for the Cats, it doesn't mean he will stay. He's already been recruited over for next year, forced into the PG position when he's a natural undersized SG, and if UK pulls in stud guards he falls further down the depth chart. I could certainly see a case for him leaving. He had a great relationship with Ole Miss and Purdue both for years before Cal got involved late. He's not going to leave for a smaller school where he can be the star (ie Western) like some people think. If he leaves, he'll likely go to a P4 school where he isn't as buried on the depth chart and has a chance to fight for some minutes. UK is in his blood though, and it might be hard to walk away from it.
This is what I thought and who could blame the kid for wanting a bigger role on a team. The way Beard has played the Pedulla( I think that’s his name) kid, Perry could step right into that position for Ole Miss.

Don’t know if he would leave, but it wouldn’t shock me if he did and anyone should understand if he did.

If it's not Saunders then I have no clue. Denim is going pro plus he's a BYU coach recruit besides that most are Seniors or I would rather pass on

On Twitter, check out @SamuelKentucky

You'd have to dig through his timeline on your own to convince yourself, but he CLEARLY has info. He tweeted out Kentucky's seed, region, 1 seed each of the last 2 years. He called the Tony Bennett retirement before it happened. Some people have told me he called Calipari to Arkansas before it was being circulated on line, but I haven't dug that deeply. Without typing too much, I'm convinced he knows things/people. And a lot of other people are also convinced.

His last tweet: "Duke can't spend with us." The Tweet before that was about a package being put together for Dent.

I saw somewhere on Twitter people said that basically every school NOT named Duke or Kentucky was priced out from the start.

I don't even think we're good on money. We're great. We may the best.
Are you Samuel?
