LOL at you and your costant "shock and awe" crap. Just because Flagg said he'd like to return, you run with it. LOL at the # 1 pick in the draft going back to school. LOL!
Not sure why we care about a players personal decision. It is theirs and theirs alone to make. They surround themselves with people and they make the decision. Reed did what him and his family thought was best. Best of luck to them. Not sure why we worry what Flagg will do. He will make his decision with the people around him. CAL is no longer here, he is not here to push guys out because he promised the new class they would start. Who cares. I do not follow one guy once he leaves here. Did not in the 70's, did not in the 80s, 90s and so forth. I follow UK basketball, period. We have to play the guys we get each year. When guys like Turpin (was a friend), Bowie, Rex and so forth went pro, I was still a UK fan. At that time I followed the showtime Lakers or the Celtics. Did not pull for any of the ex UK guys in the Pros. SGA might be killing it this year, good for him. Do not care less, KAT, who cares.
We sign who we sign from Highschool and now the portal. Pope did good with only a short period of time this past year. Hopefully with a full year of guys building relationships, we keep all that we can, we sign a solid HS class and we get the best of the best for Popes system in the portal. Then he can mold that team in less than a year to be able to compete at the highest level. It is now a full on Crapshoot for teams each and every year. Some years one guys can make all the difference, others might be 2 or 3 guys. Each year here on out in college basketball is less about each school, KENTUCKY, UNC, Kansas, Duke, Indiana, Uconn and so forth. It is more about $$$$$ and let me see how much of a cut I can get for myself. So be it. We might never see a title here again, we might never see a Final Four again or we might get that magic formula to be in many title games. There is a formula out there that can work. Not sure anyone will ever come up with it.

Lol. I think he’s gonna do it unless they make a big run. Reed should have never been so high up the draft board. Even with last years class. Playing for UK muddied the waters. 1 he was close to the program so he didn’t have the social curve. 2 he played his best basketball FOR his parents legacy school. Parents who were all time greats that groomed him to play for UK. 80% of the game is between the ears and reed came in disrespected and underated. Left after 1 season with too much nba respect. Truth is he will land somewhere in between.
Sadly, you perfectly described college sports as it is now. Kentucky has a very intelligent coach so if anyone can come up with the formula it is Pope. I'm glad he's our coach and this team has been very fun to watch. I believe things are on the upswing for Kentucky's future.
I find it bonkers that Reed wore an Arkansas shirt and people are up in arms like he was choosing Cal over UK. HE WORE UK SHORTS FFS people. We went through this sh*t with the 90's players , they also supported Pitino , If Reed was bad mouthing UK or saying he wanted Cal to beat UK that would be the thing to be upset about. People are mad we lost, dont take that out on Reed, he didnt make that loss happen, it was a hell of a fluke shooting game for Arkansas, we win that game 9 out of 10 times.
I'm a Kentucky boy, born and bred. I've been a Kentucky fan my entire 57 year life. There's NO WAY I'm wearing another team's shirt especially when Kentucky is playing that team right then. I don't care if my former coach is coaching them, and absolutely considering the circumstances. It can't help but affect the way you look at him now. Of course, he's only 19 or 20 years old so most boys that age don't have a brain that fully developed yet.
