Don't kill the messenger. Only posting for the people that care. He states Knox is the best player on the team and really good. Diallo is second and can really take it to the hole. Third is probably a tie between Washington and Vanderbilt and both are really good. Team is extremely long and athletic. Shai is very talented and will be hard to keep off the floor. Baker is longer and more athletic as previously thought and can REALLY shoot it. We lead for both Barrett and williamson

Said he has heard too much from Zion about Kentucky for him to believe anything else. Said until he hears from Zion something different he is assuming Kentucky with all the connections.

With Barrett it was interesting. He used Knox and Randle as examples of how the coaches felt they were Kentucky leans even though national experts felt differently. Said the only time staff was genuinely surprised when they thought they were getting somebody and didn't was with Shabazz. Until he hears coaches believe otherwise he thinks UK leads for RJ.

Shabazz? That worries me. Everyone in the world thought Adidas owned him & they did

One other thing. Nick Richards is a little behind the others but should be fine and wynard is doing pretty well and holding his own
I fully expect for Tai to play ahead of SKJ just like he did last season. SKJ will need to improve by huge leaps and bounds for that not to happen IMO. Tai looked real good in those games this summer in Egypt as well.

So he says he's hearing Baker can REALLY shoot it; will this kid see the floor? Does he have one and done aspirations?

No one forced you to click on the thread.
Forgot "mj periscope" meant only recruiting news. Really wish he would've talked about how this years team...... oh wait

I'm just pointing out he's not exactly a recruiting expert/ a guy with a scoop

We all knew he could really shoot it 4 months ago. That's his strength.

Doubt he sees the floor much ahead of Diallo/SGA/Green.

He can aspire to whatever he wants but unless he's more than just a 6'4" shooter home slice ain't gonna be one and done (at least first round caliber, guess he could always just leave if he wanted because UK and stuff).

I'm staring to worry about recruiting for the first time since 2010. The way Cal sends players to the NBA we lose 5-8 every year. We need 2 top 5 players when you do this.

I hope you don't really think that SKJ not playing last season had anything to do with his play.
NBA scout after NBA scout would leave our practices all season long and say that SKJ was the best player on the team. Our players would say the same thing in interviews all the way thru the end of the season. Whatever the reason was that SKJ didn't see the floor at all for the second half of the season, be it an injury or an academic or discipline issue, it had Nothing to do with his tallent and skill or playing ability.

He did also mention that skj was playing well and was shooting threes with consistency. Forgot to add that

Best player on the team (a team that included Fox, Monk, and Bam)?

I must have missed every single one of those interviews.

I think you are misremembering this. SKJ got a lot of praise very early. But Cal told Tom Leach that Sacha didn't practice hard enough until March and if he had practiced that hard all season he would have got the playing time.

You will never convince some of these morons on this board of that.. I agree with you on SKJ.

The SKJ situation is strange. When coach walks past you on the bench and puts in his son during walk on time, that's pretty extreme. And then he stays positive on the bench and didn't transfer at the end of the season. Makes you think he was ineligible or there was an eligibility concern. Cal won't throw a kid under the bus or air his dirty laundry.

Nba scouts said SKJ was the best player on our team last year?!? Sounds like nonsense but i hope you are right

I see Richards listed highest in mock drafts, so I expect to see lots of Richards this year. Also, when does Cal let our big men shoot 3s? SKJ is going down low or he's not going to get the playing time. He needs to get rebounds as shooting should not be a weakness.
No draft projections for SKJ, so getting time above the freshmen will be a true battle in practice.
