Yeah because it appears despite the black get ups the Vols have on white helmets. They might break out black helmets with the orange T though.
Love it. UT Orange has been our Kyptonite even when we were close in talent. Maybe the Cats won’t remember they’re playing UT.

You know my now deceased father made an observation when I was a kid about Tennessee Kentucky. He said if you took the orange off the Tennessee fans and put it on the Kentucky fans, and then the blue off the Kentucky fans, and put it on the Tennessee fans, you couldn’t tell a damn difference between the two of them

Pretty funny actually. They can try to downplay us all they want but it's clear we are their true rivalry. They fired anyone we beat and started buying players trying to make sure we didn't pass them.

Nope. UK is certainly a rival, but old-timers consider Bama our true rival, while younger fans tend to view UF as our true rival. Those are the 2 games that get circled. If UK can get a streak goung against UT then a newer generation of UT fans might view UK as a new "true rival", although UGA hasn't yet achieved true rival status despite its recent success. For me, it is always Bama, with UF second because of its overall success over UT over the last 3 decades.
15 losses in a row suggests it's only a rivalry to Tennessee.

I live in Knoxville 10 years. I’m sorry to tell you, but we are not their rival. We are their red headed step child that they beat and beat and beat. My friends that still live there will tell you it’s Alabama, 1, 2 and 3 regardless of record or how shitty Tennessee has been
Kentucky is not their rival in their eyes.… Bama first, Florida second Georgia third tied for fourth between Vandy and us with Carolina and Missouri bringing up the rear.
They just expect to beat us…. They load Derek Dooley for many reasons, but the main reason was he lost to the cats 10 to 7 in one of the most boring games ever played on earth except to us.
Does anyone remember because I would like to know, when we upset Tennessee when it meant something big was on the line like a New Year’s Day bowl game? They think we are a little mosquito that needs to be flipped off of their arm

Between the two? Levis. I rate Levis, and our secondary is not power 5 level. I think Abanikanda and Gibbs are better backs than Rodriguez and we handled them well enough. Our backs are solid, nothing special. More of an offensive system thing, but we average 90 more ypg rushing than UK on the season and 50 ypg more than the three games Rodriguez has been back. 4.7 ypc from Tennessee vs 3.1 ypc from UK on the season, UK is at 3.9 ypc last three with Rodriguez.
I'm from Kentucky. I root for Kentucky. Tennessee never crosses my mind. So, show me where I said Tennessee was a rival.

Well, I didn't come for that specifically, but there it was, and since it was a UT-related thread stating. UK was our true rival I felt compelled to let him see the error of his way. UT has also worn the black unis against SC; so should I consider them our true rival?
Well, make sure SC fans don't get wind of this new revelation or they will also start pretending UT fans consider SC our true rival since UT actually broke out the black unis for them first.
