Legal gambling = rigged games

Prove me wrong.
I can't and for the most part have tried to use it to my advantage with my parleys but its hard to beat vegas especially when they are in bed with every sports league and the commercials and banners on every broadcast encouraging a individual to bet knowing they can adjust outcomes if need be is a fraudulent and predatory behavior that shouldn't be allowed. I try to set traps and build parleys off of them to keep momentum and stay in the green.

Prove me wrong.
My friend unfortunately you are right . Sports gambling destroyed many games ,careers and teams … including my beloved Alex John Groza , number 15 that’s hanging from the Rupp’s rafters and brought 2 titles for Kentucky and gold at Olympics for USA.

I sometimes think the only sports not rigged are pro "rastling and roller derby. lol
Anytime this much money is involved anything is possible.
Just think how much money is paid in advertising/broadcast rights for March Madness and the NFL and tell me do you really think it is that hard to believe there can be improper influence applied for desired outcomes?

It isn't just legal gambling but unchecked sports gambling period. They didn't just start rigging games when they legalized sports books.

How do you fix it? Hell if I know. It would take a major push from the FBI or something like that and I don't see that happening.

"Here's a ridiculously bold claim. Prove it's wrong!"

That's not how it works. The burden of proof is on the person asking us to accept the bold claim.

I can't prove aliens don't exist. That doesn't mean the guy claiming aliens exist is correct.
History it just repeating itself.

Prime example KANSAS CITY CHIEFS!

Chiefs are a totally different problem. The NFL stands to gain (or lose) a lot of revenue if the Chiefs and Swift fans don't make the playoffs. Just imagine how much the ad revenue goes up once you add in all the companies that cater to women and girls. Beauty companies that wouldn't care to have an Ad in the superbowl will gladly she'll out millions if they know they got the Taylor Swift segment.

The NFL just has too much money riding on whether the Chiefs make it to the SB or don't. Nothing the Chiefs really did wrong here, but it's just a unique situation. Their fanbase exploded when Kelce started dating the biggest popstar, maybe since Michael Jackson.. maybe ever?

17 TO’s is ridiculous. We maybe had 10 legit TO’s the rest were caused by “incidental contact” plays. One of those plays led to a big momentum swing for Vandy towards the end of the game. Each team made mistakes. I don’t really know how you can let them play football on one play and whistle a touch foul on the other end of the court.

Can’t, because it’s true, and always will be as along as organized gambling is allowed, and this has NOTHING to do with yesterday’s game!

Honestly, it’s batshit crazy that the average fan can’t ascertain that by default, these games have to have a house edge built in, but almost no one wants to admit it, because what would be the point of watching and being a fan?

I agree but it started before Swift though.

Exactly. I want to quit caring about sports but I’m not committed to quitting them.

It did a bit.. but it;'s gotten so much worse. It's no longer just protecting your leagues star player (like Tom Brady before).. there's now legitimate financial ramifications of the Chiefs miss the Superbowl.

I've heard some theories and rumors that Travis Kelce and Tswift have been broken up, but the Chiefs organization won't allow it to go public and are squeezing it out for this year. Now, do I believe that? No (yes). but would it shock me to see them split up 3 months from now? When he maybe retires? No it would not.

All sports are RIGGED. Have been for a long time.
They can't 100% determine the outcome. But they can absolutely alter the scores big time.
The spreads are what they play and manipulate as that's where the money can be made on regular day-to-day games. When it comes to big tournaments or championship games I would suspect there's more money in underdogs winning than spreads.

How often do we see games swing way outside of the spread only to be nearly immediately followed by whistles that most times results in the margin closing to very close to the spread?

And how often do we find ourselves saying "wow, how did Vegas get so close" when spreads are 0.5-1 pt off from the predicted margin of victory?

Mortgage brokers and government officials nearly bankrupted the entire United States of America for commission checks.
Those people who think the officials are just incompetent are hiding their head in the sand.
Sports are fixed at several levels.

I have some thoughts on that.

1) pay the refs more and make them full time. In the offseason there should be training and point of emphasis camps to force consistency across games.

2) Require post game or mid-week press conferences from refs, complete with ability to show film. If the coaches and players are held accountable, the refs should be too.

3) all refs must submit to fiscal reviews and audits. This is a place congress can potentially get involved. If a guy is making 70-100k a year and somehow has millions of dollars that should be a huge red flag.

4) Use AI to compare results of games compared to available betting lines, overs, player props and more, and cross reference that with each referee and crew. Crews and refs that have unusual amounts of anomalies should face extra scrutiny.

And most importantly,

5) the leagues have to stop turning a blind eye and acting as though all refs are as honorable as saints. At some point they have to acknowledge it is a problem and take steps to fix it.

Because it’s his team, see everyone else cheats but them, hey chiefs fan remember you guys constantly saying they wanted Brady😂. Thought so enjoy the bullshit calls while they last it will end and the NFL will move on to their next fav.
Wrong as well. The Chiefs have the best organization in sports right now. It won't last. It never does, but I will enjoy it while it does last (one of the greatest head coaches in the game's history, THE best DC in league history in Spags, a great special teams coach in Toub, fantastic GM, and then a litany of great players, oh, and Arrowhead to top it all off - the Rupp Arena of NFL stadiums).

In 2018, when the Pats beat us at home, it sucked, but I did not blame the refs. We intercepted the ball to win the game, but we had lined up offsides, so they got the 1st down. As for wanting Brady, you must be talking to another fanbase. Only thing we wanted Brady to do was go down with an injury.

The refs miss calls in every game, but I'm calling cheating. Maybe I am naive, but my teams have won 4 Super Bowls and 8 NCAA championships, so I will live in my naiveté. Go Chiefs and go Cats!!!

Keep drinking big man no one other than your chief boy fans buy what your selling. Literally entire country sees what has been going on for the last three years, like I said, enjoy now you will be irrelevant soon big man.
It’s obvious to everyone other than your fandom group

NFL example tonight:

Jim Nance lead in: KC vs Buffalo “The matchup America has been longing for.”

FFS not most of America. Just KC, Buffalo and Swifties.

I knew there were shenanigans, especially after evaluating our final game of 2017 (vs UNCheats), but to hear Jamie Luckie in his own words instructing other refs how to “be the difference between (Elon) losing by 20 points (to Duke) and not 40 points” was an eye-opener. WHAT!?! (Btw: one year it got away from him and it ended up only being 13 points. Did that happen in our final games of 2010 and 2018 that he officiated?!)
For a ref to openly admit they “give the little guy more latitude” and intentionally manipulate a final score makes me sick. He thinks people only remember the final 2 or 4 minutes of the game (and acknowledges that’s why some games get a different whistle at the end). It’s available to watch here: https://kentucky.forums.rivals.com/threads/jamie-luckie-and-kentucky.263353/page-2#post-6804184
