You'll learn, that actually as you get older, the more stuff makes you tear up. Especially your parents.

Well, I’m 52. And no I did not cry over stuff like that. But to each their own sir.

I'm thinking TheWyldcat came from a household like the one I grew up in. Parents divorced and mom is a 'tough-love' type of person with a temper.

You haven't lived until you've seen your mom get pissed at a toaster, rip the cord out of the wall, then launch it out the back door to join the other appliances that pissed her off at some point.

It wasn't until my step mom came along in my teenage years that I learned what it was like to have a mom like the one Matt has. It took me a while to get used to that, but had she never popped into my life, I might be one of those guys that thinks having a soft spot for your mom is weird.

I get it and I’m not trying to make fun of anyone or be critical. I’m not an avid listener, so maybe I just don’t understand the relationship but it seems like Matt has a very infantile view of his mother. Like he is still seeking her approval. Hearing him talk about her reminds me of a woman talking about her mother. How cute she is and how sweet she is, etc. and how she makes him cry all the time. Just thought it was odd. But thanks for clarifying.

Again, it’s just my opinion. I’m not saying anyone is right or wrong. Just wanted some peoples thoughts about it since I don’t listen that much.

No, you're good man. You've been a good poster in my view, I certainly won't scold you for your views on this one. Is what it is.

Were you listening when his mom called in? She got pretty emotional. I just think they have a tight bond and this really comes down to the type of person his mom is. She appears to be one of those moms that is very caring and involved with her family.
