Kentucky will be staring at the top 10

You are outta your mind . WE defended the 3 the best I have seen a Cal team do it in quite some time.
No, not outta my mind.. Watched the game too and there were multiple times Vandy players were open and just couldn't knock'm down.. They gaurded well but if they were to have hit some of those it would've been a much closer game. Don't care what you say either, it's the truth..

Beg to disagree. Yes, they had a few open looks from 3 that they missed but we were all over them most of the game whenever someone beyond the 3 arc got the ball. I was there and noticed how well we were quickly moving and covering the 3 most of the game. No one is perfect, and there will always be a few open looks during a game, but I felt we kept the pressure on their 3 point guys very well all game.
Cool

Vandy missed 4 or 5 wide open threes they will not miss at Vandy for sure. The team did play better D all around though.

Vandy and Arkansas didn't shoot the ball like they normally do,sure we had something to do with that but exactly how much is open for debate. Vandy's defense wasn't great but it usually never is,Alex got more done against their bigs than we might have expected and Jones wasn't(for whatever reason) the match-up problem that he should have been

Arkansas, didn't shoot well and they are a better match-up for us,we played well and took the crowd out of the game and never let them back in.

Did Vandy miss a few open 3's? Of course, this happens in most basketball games for both teams (unless you run into a team having one of those nights like Auburn had where they're banking in multiple 3's).

What made our 3-point D so good the last 2 games against the 2 best 3-point shooting teams in the league is that we were able to limit their number of attempts. We were so focused on stopping the 3 after the Auburn debacle that Arkansas only managed 12 attempts from 3 and Vandy only 15. Both teams would've liked to have shot at least twice that many, but we took it away with our constant ball pressure and switching. Vandy was 5 out of 15 from three. Let's say they had made 3 of the open 3's you're focusing on to put them over 50% on 3's...they were down by 23 at one point...it would have still be an easy win for the Cats. And let's not forget that we actually out scored Vandy by 35 points from the field...the lopsided freethrow numbers were the only thing that kept it from being an epic beat down.

Either way, there was a very discernible improvement in our defense over the last 2 games. Let's hope that the light has come on after the embarrassing loss at Auburn and we continue trending in this direction.
