Kentucky vs NIU game thread

I expected a bit of a defensive letdown but that it would be offset by some offensive firepower. NIU can play. We can't eff around....if we need to open up the playbook then you do it.
That’s the problem. We’re used to it. We will never be a Top team consistently until this shit becomes unacceptable.

I really think Stoops uses these games as an extra week of prep for next week. And just kind of assumes we'll win somehow.
I used to pay NIU redshirt receivers money to play in my church league games.
True story. Three of them played for my teams. We used to average about 30 points per win, and that was with other teams trying to slow us down to a crawl in games where the clock never stopped until the final two minutes of each half.

So he lets Smoke in on kickoff return after he just got done fumbling the ball on previous time int he field to put NIU in position to tie the game. WTF is Stoops thinking I’d let Smoke sit on the bench and think about the costly fumble!

This is the kind of crap play that Stoops will use to justify not trying to score quickly at the end of the half.

1. O-Line: still giving up free QB runs
2. Smoke: terrible fumble that tied the game up
3. D-Line/ILB: not plugging holes at all
4. Secondary: cushion and soft coverage is unnecessary
5. Staff isn't off the hook, either
