Kentucky has reached out to Dame Sarr

Duke has the money, but do they have the room?

Duke has a bunch of wings in that 6’5 to 6’6 range.

Foster is returning.

Evans is probably their most talented returnee. He’ll see an increase in minutes.

Henderson is a 5-star coming in.

That’s a lot of competition on the wing.

If they sign Sarr, might that mean Evans is on his way out? Just spitballing here.

Yeah I don't see how Duke has the room and I don't see them going after really any wings in the portal right now as it is, so it would be pretty random to pluck this kid out of nowhere.

Think it might come down to us, Oregon and Illinois, but obviously Illinois has the longest relationship with the kid and Oregon has Nike money.

Someone said Illinois is out because they wouldn't give him the 2 and a half million he wanted.

Done deal per *checks notes* Fanzonebasket on twitter. Welcome to Kentucky College big dog!

Actually I take it back. I spoke with this guy on Twitter. Not 100% sure hes legit but told me a % of confidence he has, his source, and the amount Sarr was asking. Won't publish it here as someone already stole if from the Trilly discord as their "insider" info on UK boards lol.

BYU and Duke are in the hunt for him too. He would look better in Kentucky blue.

Andiamo Dame ! Vieni in Kentucky!

Thank you for your efforts trying to glean some info for the board! Appreciate it

How could you possibly know this?

I’m pretty sure nobody here has seen him play in any game other than Nike World Hoops Summit. And he was very impressive in that game, in fact FAR more so than the two UK recruits in that game (Jasper and Moreno). And he already appears to be a higher regarded NBA prospect than anyone we have.

Yet you alone know that he’d merely be fighting for the “ chance to get meaningful minutes” here?
What I’m saying is we have some very good players on our team. No disrespect to him or anything! He would play and probably be a very good player as well but as of right now he wouldn’t be the best player we have. Now I’m not saying I don’t want him. I’d take him in a second and he’d definitely help us.

Kid will get drafted solely because he’s young, foreign and had a good game in Hoops Summit. That’s how the NBA rolls. No college should waste a lot of time on him. I think we should focus on the Hawthorne kid. We need some developmental kids. Our rotation for next year should be pretty set.

I think a very telling sign will be if Kentucky will try to get a visit in the next week. Pope loves getting these on campus visits
Thought I read he went back to Italy after the Hoops Summit. If he's adamant about testing NBA waters he might not come back to the U.S. until the NBA combine and that's over 3 weeks away.

It'll probably be a long wait for him unless someone offers him a blank NIL check to skip any NBA workouts.

When your like 12 or 13 deep ..... unless it's a back up true pg something of a need there's no point unless He honestly thinks Oweh is gone.

I love this guy and would love UK to get him. But Pope will make the call. If we get him great if not, I trust Pope has a plan that is better for the team.

No. These numbers are made up, or come from the same so called insiders that haven't been right yet. There are NDA's involved in these negotiations. No agent is risking his license to tell Trilly, or whoever, how much was actually offered.
Trilly and all the recruiting guys said it. You don't have to believe it but that's what they said.

I think he is Alex and Oliver younger brother.
No, Dame Sarr is not related to Olivier Sarr. While both share the same surname, they are not related by blood. Dame Sarr is a current high school player being recruited by various colleges, including Kentucky, while Olivier Sarr is a former NBA player.

According to NBA Draft analyst and high school hoops reporter Krysten Peek, Kentucky has contacted shooting guard Dame Sarr (no relation to former Wildcats center Olivier Sarr).

Would love him, but my prediction is that Nike money wins out.

What does Oregon have Nike money actually mean? Doesn’t UK have a nice contract with Nike as well?

Phil Knight, founder of Nike, is an Oregon fan (and Stanford to a lesser degree). Look at the money and facility Oregon had. There’s also a reason their football team wear multiple types of different jerseys.
