Kentucky has reached out to Dame Sarr

Forget the insiders. We need The Outsiders!

Rather have sting. We are rupp rafter watchers.

I can't tell if he's pushing his three-point shots or falling away. He's silky smooth. The highlights I watched, he was in an offense where a lot of guys were open. It was pretty spread out. I didn't really see him create for himself, not one on one.
Did you watch the Nike Hoop Summit??
Dude can get his own. Owned the USA 5 star guards.

He is a game changer. I don't get excited about uncommitted recruits, but this dude is the real deal next level talent that we don't currently have on this team.

The misinformation on this board is laughable. Olivier (former UK Wildcat) and Alex (the #2 overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft) Sarr are brothers, born in Bordeaux, France. Dame Sarr was born and raised in Italy and is unrelated to Olivier and Alex. If you don't believe it, check out Dame's interview videos on Youtube. He speaks English and Italian, not French. By the way, Dame's idol as a basketball player is SGA.
Sorry I missed the entire family tree

This is kinda funny

Sarr sparked controversy in April 2025 when he unilaterally decided to travel to Portland, Oregon to play in the 2025 Nike Hoops Summit, after Barcelona had denied his request to do so.[6] Barcelona released a statement acknowledging the player's actions, regarding them as a breach of his obligations.

He told them to F off lol.
Yes they were not pleased with him or agents he play in the NHS game

Yeah, his overall evaluation basically is he still has a lot to get better on. Consistency, focus and athletic ability still developing.
He's the equivalent of a high school senior and is being projected to be drafted if he comes out this year

The Italian prospect — who I believe should test the waters of the 2025 draft — was rangy and aggressive atacking the basket while showing enough on-ball upside. I’m sure that NBA evaluators were impressed, and so was I.

The Barça swingman has turned a corner production-wise recently, and he’s starting to piece together his upside as a wing-sized NBA athlete who can make some complementary on-ball decisions. Going forward, though, Sarr needs to keep making his spot-up threes, and he’ll need to prove that his on-ball upside is more than theoretical. Right now, Sarr’s total package, consistency, and production remains a bit up-and-down.

It appears like Illinois will land Sarr, but I wonder if a quiet first round promise keeps him in the draft — and if any team is willing to extend that. Looking at the current 2025 draft board, I’m thinking for multiple reasons about Toronto at No. 7 (this one is really pushing it), Portland at No. 10, San Antonio at No. 15, Orlando at No. 16, and the Washington Wizards at No. 19.

I watched a highlights reel, don't remember which game it was.

This would be an incredible get. And it goes to show, there are so many players out there that are really really good that we just don't have them all on our radar. If we get him, he would certainly be our best player. Incredible talent.
He would most certainly not be our best player. He would have a chance to play meaningful minutes after he learned the system but he 1000% would not be our best player. The kid has a lot of potential, he’s not there right now.

You’re trying to convince someone that probably doesn’t know what shape a basketball is.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. This is the best player we’ve been mentioned with outside of Yaxel.

I know everyone hears something but a buddy of mine was at a conference this past weekend and Coach Pope was a Speaker. He talked with after the meeting and Coach just mentioned there a big time Euro player in a way that sounded promising

How could you possibly know this?

I’m pretty sure nobody here has seen him play in any game other than Nike World Hoops Summit. And he was very impressive in that game, in fact FAR more so than the two UK recruits in that game (Jasper and Moreno). And he already appears to be a higher regarded NBA prospect than anyone we have.

Yet you alone know that he’d merely be fighting for the “ chance to get meaningful minutes” here?

Mannnn, I don't even know why I keep responding to some of these posters. It is obvious most of them have never played, coached, refereed, or even dribbled a basketball other than on their computer games.

But, if they are really Cat fans, Ima gonna keep trying to educate them. LOL. :)

Sarr and Yessoufou that is going to Baylor were the best two guards on the floor. Period.

Yessoufou is the next Anthony Edwards in the making if nothing happens to him. He will dominate in the Big 12.
