Kentucky at Vandy (Finale)

I looked at the score on the espn app and we was winning 6-3. So I decided to turn it on and by the time it loaded the score was 7-6 Vanderbilt and then the next pitch the guys crushes it lol. Just my luck. I think they are done for the year. To much stuff going wrong for them and it's in thier head.

Squires is 3-35 before this at bat. Now 3-36.

I had a bad feeling about this weekend after hearing about the injuries. Felt good about it before that, believing that Lewis and the others would be back. Now apparently none will return until the regional.

Bad luck with the injuries and then too many hitters going cold. Pretty humbling end to this regular season after a bunch of hype.

I hope this is not a preview of next year with everybody that we are probably going to lose.
We are going to be in deep trouble unless some of these guys have a transformation. ZTis the only pitcher who should probably be pitching in the sec and I have no clue where runs are going to come from.

Hard to say what the heck will happen. This year most of us thought pitching would be lights out and the bats might struggle. We were entirely wrong.

That's part of what's so frustrating about this season being a disappointing one at this point at least. Pretty clear that UK is set to lose a ton of its top pitchers and hitters and it does not appear that there are similarly talented players waiting in the wings. So I've been hoping UK could do very well with this talented group and then rebuild next year.

They just can't seem to put together 3-4 hits in a row to manufacture runs. It seems like they only score from home runs.

Goodness ... Cats swept by Vandy, finish 13-17 in the SEC.

The only question that we have at this point is what regional will the Cats get sent to - they would have to win the SEC tournament to have any shot to host.

After today Cats are 11-12 on the road on the season. Cats pitching is hurting, literally, our hitting is leaving way way too many runners stranded, and defensively we have too many careless throwing errors.

Something significant will have to change with this team if they have any ambitions of making a run in whatever regional we get sent to.

UK has runners at second and third with no outs and Pompey pops up. Pretty sure I could hear someone next to Headrick whisper a frustrated, "Jesus."

UK loaded them and then Becker lined into a double play

Kendall Rogers on twitter saying UK and A&M heading to Hoover nervous at 13-17. And who does UK have to pitch Tuesday?

If this team was a horse, someone may consider doing the humane thing.

I’m the biggest optimist here, but I can’t see them doing anything in the postseason.

It’s a shame if they don’t. Really could have used some good momentum and fan excitement going into a new stadium.

Who knows? Maybe if they can get healthy quickly and catch some breaks...

Auburn swept this Vandy squad two weeks ago and outscored them 29-6. If we dont win any games in the sec i think we are in serious trouble making the tournament.
I was just thinking that myself. Has a team fell apart as quick as this one. Just about a month ago they were talking about them being a national seed and now maybe not making the tournament. If I can go wrong, it has the past month.

So it was your fault. I was just about to fall on my sword. I started listening when we went down 2-3. When we got up 6-3, I couldn't resist so I was blaming myself. I'm glad you took the loss first.

It doesn’t matter probably. Auburn’s ace will abuse our hitters if that is who UK plays.
Won't face Mize, he pitched and lost Friday night, they won't put him out there on that short rest IMO. Looks like 10:30 am start EDT, at least it won't be 90 degrees that early .

Well, I wanted to be the 7 and not the 10, but it's better to be this than the 8/9 and have to face Florida.

Beyond the bitter disappointment this team has been, Ming’s head scratching decisions this year makes me worry he was a one hit wonder last year and caught lightning in a bottle.

He makes goofy goofy decisions...you cant bunt Cottham when he is 2 for 2 with a Jack...nobody does that

I've seen about 15 games this year and we probably won 4 of them lol. So I'll take blame. I won't watch Tuesday and see if we win or not lol.

I belive that if we lose to Auburn on Tuesday, we won't make the NCAA tournament. I look for us to be a 3 seed if we are chosen.

They are looking at being the 11 seed in the SEC tournament
Right now we are tied for ninth with tam and I think we hold the tiebreaker. Actually we are that should put us in the nine-hole which would make us facing Florida if we win... Am I correct? Maybe Mississippi State softened Florida up for us:joy::scream:[banana]:boxing::sunglasses:
