KAT says UK all time team is taking any other team's all time no matter what

I'm not sure I want to see the video. What does Shannon Sharpe have to do with UK?

Several years back, ESPN did a basketball encyclopedia. They listed various schools' all time teams. Several examples:

LSU
O'Neal
Bob Pettit
Ruby Macklin
Pete Maravich
Chris Jackson

UCLA
Alcindor
Sidney Wilkes
Marques Johnson
Walt Hazzard
Gail Goodrich

Our all time team is stacked not only with great college players but NBA players as well. Only UNC would compete, and maybe Duke or UConn. They have a solid teams I’m sure. UCLA has great players but most of them are older so they probably wouldn’t stack up as well in the modern game.

In regards to all-time NBA talent, I think you have to give the nod to UCLA. Cheating or not, there's just too much talent there.

They are up there they just have few modern players, where as we have not only do,I ate college players but also NBA players of a high tier in multiple eras as well.

I need to know who our coach would be..
Alcindor and Walton at UCLA, Worthy and Jordon at UNC. Lots of great “all-time” teams out there

If we're talking about current players UK would win going away against any other team. If you're talking all time. the only schools that would be any competition to UK would be UCLA & North Carolina. I would like our chances to beat any of them as long as we're not being coached by John Calipari.

Current (or recent) players, it's not even debatable.

But all-time, I might have to go in order UCLA, UNC, LSU (shocker), and then UK. Our 2nd 5 may be the best, but the starting 5 you have all-time greats from those other schools (Kareem, Walton, Jordan, Worthy, Shaq, Pettit, Maravich).

LSU is an interesting one, their top 5 are right top 3-4 without question. But their success is WAY behind the other schools.

Sleeper team : (maybe a 9 seed)
Georgetown would be solid. : Ewing, Mourning, Mutombo, Sleepy Floyd, AI, David Wingate, Reggie Williams, Michael Sweetney, Michael Jackson, Othella Harrington, Michael Graham, Roy Hibbert, Jeff Green, Greg Monroe, Otto Porter. Defense would be off the charts, and Iverson and Sleepy Floyd solid back court. You wouldn't think to have the Hoyas up there which is why I listed them. How are you going to score on them with Ewing, Mourning, Mutombo, Harrington, Hibbert and Graham among others defending the inside ?

Kansas: Wilt Chamberlain, Joel Embiid, Danny Manning, Paul Pierce, JoJo White

Damn good starting five, but KU's bench would be rather weak. They've produced more great coaches (Naismith, Phog Allen, Rupp, Dean Smith, and Larry Brown) than players.

This, UK's depth is where UK would overwhelm any other alumni team. As long as we aren't being coached by John Calipari.

I love that someone said "No" to the Shaedon/Shannon Sharpe joke. This place cracks me up sometimes.

As Great as MJ was Wilt was harder to stop and did more things.
They had to change the rules to slow Wilt down.

Speaking of rules to slow someone down. Did y’all know the NBA played one game, an official game, with 12’ high rims?

The Minneapolis Lakers against someone when they had Mikan.

The NBA wanted to see if they could reel in Mikan that way.

But it backfired terribly. It did hurt his offense. And everyone else’s too.

The two teams combined to shoot like 26%. Which meant twice as many rebounds and guess who got most of them?😆

The never played with raised baskets again.

They did widen the lane to move him away from the basket more.

You are a bad ass when you have a rule named for you and a basketball drill named for you.

If Wilt had a competetive fire for winning games Boston doesn't have many of their 50s n 60s titles . That was his Achilles heel. Russell wasn't nearly the player Wilt was or the Talent he just wanted to win like MJ in my era..... more than breathe.

People say Wilt did it vs midgets an such n yeah he would have those crazy stats today or even in the 80s or 90s but he still would of been best player in league even in the Magic / Kareem/ MJ. Era.

It’s an all-time team being discussed. Who can put together a better roster of say 15 guys than UK? Jordan’s one guy, I know UNC has had some greats as have UCLA and Duke, but 1-15 I don’t think anybody could compete with UK and as good as KAT was, he wouldn’t even make that team.

OK, nobody that it has been proven was paid to go to school when it was illegal is allowed to play on an all-time great team. And no coach that allowed players to be paid should be able to coach. Cronin should be UCLA‘s coach

Fabulous Five:

Kenny Rollins
Ralph Beard
Wallace Wah Wah Jones
Cliff Barker
Alex John Groza
NCAA Champions 1947-48
All five competed as a unit and won gold at the 1948 London Olympics.
Rollins graduated but the other four returned for the 1948–1949 season and won another NCAA title.

To me that’s the best 5 of all times.

So , yes , KAT is right , Kentucky always Kentucky. Let’s go BBN let’s bring #9!
