… being closed in on by a few defenders. Probably could have fought for 5 or 6 more yards. Slides before he gets touched. Yeah like a QB he slid

They don’t make ‘em like they used to

Missouri’s long-time hated rival is KU. I assume the fans stormed the field because they feel they are ‘back’.
It’s also not an everyday thing to hit a 61 yarder and on the very last play. Students look for any reason they can too so they can all run out videoing themselves on their phones. People used to run out and climb on each other and get on shoulders cheering now they all run out put their phones up and film each other filming each other

Sad, but true, their entire experience of life will be recording themselves instead of being in the moment. It's the new "____ was here" thing, except they aren't really there.

It’s a rivalry game that predates Mizzou’s entry to the SEC and their rival was ranked and it was a 61 yard FG as time expired. Not sure the reasons should matter to other fans. It was a good moment in this season’s college football. How many people watching texted another person to say some kid just kicked a 61-yarder to win a game? I bet a lot of college football fans.

As to the OP, was it a WR or a RB? I thought it was a pass to the RB out of the backfield. If so, the slide is even more confounding. I was surprised when it happened. He would have had 2-5 more yards had he taken contact, maybe more.

In the coaches poll this week, KSU received 114 points and Mizzou 44. I realize the game was at home for Mizzou, but …

Yeah, it could have been the RB. I was tuning in and out but looked up and saw the play. It was a passing play but it could have been to the RB. Dude slid without getting touched, easily could have fought for more yardage. Just made me SMH a little.
