Report I read on CBS Sports said both due to medical issues. Think it stated that they'll retain their schollys but not technically be on the team (count against the 85 limit).

That’s too bad but glad they’re sticking around to finish school. I remember being pumped when Anaele committed.
Had hoped these guys could have developed but never could get healthy. Anaele already has his degree and he did it in 3 years. Impressive.
I think they should keep their scholarships, but let us fill those two spots.
Because it's medical, they become academic schollies and no longer count to the 85-scholarship limit. So, it's a win-win.
Jones had major knee surgery that cost him '22. Not sure about Anaele but he had injury problems almost from the get-go. As I said above, Anaele got his degree in 3 years, he's to be commended for that. Obviously a smart guy.

Memphis OT Devontae Dobbs just entered the portal the other day. We recruited him out of HS, but I don't know if the staff would take him. I lean towards the staff giving some scholarships to walk on players.

Still experienced depth never hurts. I guess who it depends on who they could get next year.
We are quite thin at OT depth. Just curious, but why do you think he wouldn't be able to play OT in a P5 conference? Do you follow Memphis football closely?
