Picking Marcus Lee to be one of the 5 Breakout Stars this year.
Skal, Briscoe, and Murray all made top 15 Impact Freshman

I know I might get blasted for this, but I am expecting Skal to have a similar impact that AD did his freshman year with a better offensive output. I do not think he will total the block #s that AD did, but he will be a force on defense and on the boards. I know, I know, AD is arguably the best player to ever put on a UK jersey. But, if Skal stays healthy, watch out.

No blasting from me, I like your enthusiasm and optimism on Skal. He probably is no AD (who is?) but he could have a similar major impact on this team and that's good enough for me. Hope this is no jinx by Rothstein though as we saw Aaron picked as pre season SEC player of the year and that didn't turn out too well for him. Different player and different case this year though, right?

I think the predictions are accurate. I am surprised on how low he picked Arkansas in the pre season power rankings, but they did lose their two best players. Also I am surprised that he thinks Mississippi state is SEC number four ahead of LSU.
Anyway being number one in the conference is a given since UK dominates it most years and with Florida rebuilding UK should maintain number one for the foreseeable future. Our expectations go beyond being SEC number one and I am looking forward to what should be a fun year.

I haven't seen him play much but I hope he has a great year. We need his inside presence. I saw some of McDonalds game and I have to admit the Simmons kid going to LSU looked impressive. I think he's gonna put up some numbers this year. I imagine they will build their offense around him.
