I agree, your stock starts rising quickly when top teams have holes they need to fill.I think more of these top-75ish kids should go this route. Wait until the late signing period to make a decision. Bigger/better programs needing to fill holes will come running.
It says in the article, "Baker made 94 three-pointers as a senior and led the Under Armour circuit in three-pointers last summer."Serious question. Is he a good shooter?

meh. good practice player i suppose. dont see anything that stands out.
Yep. Some of the best recruiting advice right thereI think more of these top-75ish kids should go this route. Wait until the late signing period to make a decision. Bigger/better programs needing to fill holes will come running.
Dude can ball. A smaller version of Lamb. And confidence is through the roof. Won't be a big impact freshman year but will be a major asset 1-2 years down the road.
Smith is better...and it's not close. Bigger, stronger, better passer, higher ceiling. Hoping he commits first and Johnson...Baker is third choice by a good bit
I be going to differ, I think he will see anywhere from 8-10 mins a game depending on who we're playing and how he's playing. If he is hitting shots especially the 3 he will see plenty of time as we are thin at guard especially shooters, which u can never have too many. I don't care if he's ranked 150 if the guy can fill it up sign him up, plus he will be a 3-4 yr guy which we could use a few of thosemeh. good practice player i suppose. dont see anything that stands out.

agree, from the very little i've seen (which did include baker making seven 3s in one game against compton high)
neither stands out as a run & jump athlete, but smith is much bigger, and appears to be more of a playmaker. should eventually be able to guard 3 positions, while baker will probably only be able to guard 1s
johnson could provide something next year. already shown he can at least make shots in a power conference. didn't guard shit at pitt, but he's a lot longer than baker
Guards dunking are where games are won.How many times do you see Baker dunk? Zero...because I don't think he can.....Smith otoh is somewhat explosive
U got that stat from where? His hs or AAU. I watched him going head to head vs Duval in the underarmour league and when they showed his stats it was 41 percent in the league he made 94 threes in. Dude is one of the best three point shooters in the class. He shot 34% from 3.
I think those were his high school stats.I'll check that article again.I couldn't find that article but found his junior year he shot 44% from 3.Wow,that's very good.Hope we land him.U got that stat from where? Exactly there is a whole AAU game of his on another thread where he played pg vs duvals team he hit like 7or 8 threes out of 10 scored 34 while d-ing up on Duval and the other guard on duvals team. Seemed to hold his own just fine. Decent lateral quickness and a tight handle. He isn'Ant Lamb. But he isn't a slouch either reminded me of Mays alot maybe a better shooter than Mays tho. Walks onto the court his freshman year with the ability to contribute more as a backup than Polsun did as a senior. He is fearless and hungry. Going against Duval I saw nothing that indicated he was to slow to play d. Nah alot of opinions on here and I am guessing very few have sat and watched him playThe staff and most recruiting analysts disagree with you. Baker is their choice over Smith.
doubt it unless green and/or shai is pretty bad. in which case who cares cause we got bigger issues. charles mathews played 10 mpg, averaged less than a bucket a game and we had no depth on that team.....and he transferred! the 2017 team could have more options depending how it shakes out.
but some want to believe that a guy in 8 mpg is going to walk on the court and fill it up....for 4 years. sounds good.
