It's early, but here's an interesting thing to note

Perhaps I'm just bored, but I was curious about high-volume shooters under Calipari.
I will use the metric of FGA per minutes played as an indicator of a high-volume shooter.
I went down through all the statistics and may have missed some, so please feel free to check my results, but I tried to identify every player with a FGA/Min of .400 or better, playing major minutes. I came up with seven (7) and it is most interesting (although it is very early), to see that three (3) of them are on this year's team: Reeves, Tshiebwe and Toppin. Last time I checked, we're still playing with one ball, right ?? :)

Obviously, Cousins and Tshiebwe have fabulous shooting percentages, owing to rebounding prowess and goal proximity.

I'd noted this year, as most everyone surely has, that Reeves was definitely a high-volume shooter and could not help but wonder what other players were over the years. When Antonio is hitting, he's going to light up the scoreboard, but let's all hope his off-nights are minimal.

From that graphic one thing stands out to me, Toppin needs to shoot WAY LESS!!!
Yes. I kinda thought the same thing, but it's early in the year. I tend to think he needs to get his attempts closer to the bucket, versus raising up out on the floor ... letting the game come to him.

Also interesting, even though Reeves has the highest FGA/min at UK in the 2000's, and 60% of his attempts are 3's, and he makes 46.9% of his 3's, there are 13 UK players under Cal who've averaged more pts/gm.
Thanks for your research. I certainly don't want to jinx him, but I sure hope he can continue to shoot at a high clip from beyond the arc, enjoying the highest percentage of his career. Grady did that last year, shooting much better from 3-point range than during his previous four (4) years at Davidson.

Reeves is in attack mode at all times and I love it. Him starting to finish around the bucket will pay huge dividends. Surprised so many aren't falling but think they will.

I sure hope you are right and he begins to convert more effectively inside the arc.
You're right about him in "attack mode" ... he's not bashful about shooting !!
