Where are you seeing this?I’m seeing he’s now projected In the second round. Whatever happens, I think Pope is now preparing for him to possibly stay in the draft
No doubt. It's EVERY players dream to make it into the NBA.Very well stated, and something that I’ve been saying for weeks. “Going to get feedback” line is garbage because it’s well known what needs to be worked. I’m pretty sure it’s no different than what Pope told him in their end of season meeting.
I still think he returns, but he’s definitely looking for something that makes his ears perk up.
Yeah him adding a 7’1 white guy from Lexington is a clear sign Oweh is staying in the draft. Just coming on here to yap and stir crap up is all you ever do.I’m seeing he’s now projected In the second round. Whatever happens, I think Pope is now preparing for him to possibly stay in the draft
He was the 59th pick in a mock draft today. The OP just wants to stir crap up, he isn’t a Kentucky fan.Where are you seeing this?
Now wny would his brother have to give him money. Do you think he spent his 1 mil from last year already, free room and board by UK so i think he did alright. So Owehs brother is just giving him money?

While I also think he returns, his character or loving his UK experience has little nothing to do with going pro or not. There’s no chance he goes and I usually don’t project using absolutes. He’s probably going to make at least 3.5 million next season at UK. He can’t do that at the NBA level. He doesn’t shoot, finish, or dribble well enough for a draft pick paying as much as he’ll make here.
I have met with Oweh several times. He’s a great guy, one of the nicest and humble guys I’ve ever met at UK. Doesn’t take himself all that serious and absolutely loves UK. He always dreamed of playing for a program like this. Oweh wants to come back to UK and the money points to UK. I would be totally shocked if he stayed in the draft at this point.
Some are not used to this situation from growing up in the Calipari era. It’s gonna take those a while. Others are probably just paranoid from the 15 Calipari years. Others, well, trolling.
In what way is Pope now preparing for that possibility?I’m seeing he’s now projected In the second round. Whatever happens, I think Pope is now preparing for him to possibly stay in the draft

Well damn. You have that much hate towards him?If he goes pro he will never be heard from again.
There was an article saying he was projected 2nd round by some source. I didn’t pay too close attention to it. And I’m think he may still be back. But if not, good for him for making the best decision for himself and following his dream. But obviously Pope would have a contingency planI'll never understand why people post things like this then not provide a screenshot or link to what they're talking about
How you know OO is in need of money?usually when someone is in real need of money its the family in need of money and if the family was desperate the brother would provide. But its all moot because Oweh will make more at UK than he'd make as a late second rounder/undrafted player.
How do you know that's less than he will make here?Only first rounders have a guaranteed contract and the last pick of the first round made 2.07 million last year. That is significantly less than what he would make here. So unless he is at least guaranteed by a team to be a top 20 pick I don't see him going. With that said I think his outside shot needs work as does his finishing around the rim before any team would make that promise to him.
That’s really presumptuous to think just because his brother is in the nfl that Otega is supported by him. I certainly don’t foot the bill for my siblings’ existences.Oweh's brother is in the NFL. Oweh is not stressed for cash. His family has been set for a while. He may just want to start his professional career and be done with college, especially since it seems like he's a very mature guy. Many guys have jumped to the pros early just to begin their careers...and there's nothing wrong with that. It's not all about NIL for every single player.
I think when we see you think, it's about a coin flip as to whether you have it correct or not... not very good results.I’m seeing he’s now projected In the second round. Whatever happens, I think Pope is now preparing for him to possibly stay in the draft
How you know OO is in need of money?
"You think?" Lol.I’m seeing he’s now projected In the second round. Whatever happens, I think Pope is now preparing for him to possibly stay in the draft
How is TyTy doing these days?If he goes pro he will never be heard from again.
Plays for the Suns, G League mostly. How is TyTy doing these days?
That is false. A good bit of 2nd round picks are getting guaranteed contracts. Some are getting 2 way deals with guaranteed money. If Oweh can somehow get to the top 45 projected, I think the threat is real that he won’t be back.Only first rounders have a guaranteed contract and the last pick of the first round made 2.07 million last year. That is significantly less than what he would make here. So unless he is at least guaranteed by a team to be a top 20 pick I don't see him going. With that said I think his outside shot needs work as does his finishing around the rim before any team would make that promise to him.
This is a good draft for SG/SF, but I believe Otega will make it into the top 40-45 picks. That is false. A good bit of 2nd round picks are getting guaranteed contracts. Some are getting 2 way deals with guaranteed money. If Oweh can somehow get to the top 45 projected, I think the threat is real that he won’t be back.
I doubt that. He’s so physical . And with his drive and athleticism he has a chance. Needs to improve his shot.I believe there's 0% chance that Oteh ever plays in the NBA.
I misspoke when I said only first rounders have a guaranteed contract. Second rounders may get a contract but aren't guaranteed to get one like a first rounder guy. The collective bargaining agreement mandates all first rounders get a contract but 2nd rounders it is optional if the team gives a contract or not and what the length of the contract will be.That is false. A good bit of 2nd round picks are getting guaranteed contracts. Some are getting 2 way deals with guaranteed money. If Oweh can somehow get to the top 45 projected, I think the threat is real that he won’t be back.
This is the thing that drives me bonkers. I just checked all the reputable (not to be confused with "some guy on Twitter or YouTube") sites...he's 59th on CBS. So, the last pick on one board. I swear, some people have a hard time grasping this.Which mocks? Just checked Yahoo, nbadraft and ESPN and he's nowhere to be seen.
If you're "seeing it"...Would you mind sharing what you're seeing with the rest of us?I’m seeing he’s now projected In the second round.
Yeah, but that won't stop the narrative some seem to have with this. It's so weird.I've literally not seen one mock draft with Oweh being drafted
Because they're FOSI'll never understand why people post things like this then not provide a screenshot or link to what they're talking about
There is absolutely ZERO chance he makes top 40. He'd have to jump 30-40 spots to get there. That's not going to happen. There are three years of data and film on what he can do. A few days at the combine aren't going to change that much.I am not so sure we get Oweh back. He could easily make the right impression at the combine and get a top 40 pick status.
Fortunately, this seems like a deep draft. Otega has a lot of competition for those 2nd round spots. I’m believing about 50/50 for an Oweh return.
Shedeur Sanders thought he was going #1 and went fifth round. Do mock drafts really mean anything? It’s like whoever they have winning the championship before the season starts. Means nothingThis is the thing that drives me bonkers. I just checked all the reputable (not to be confused with "some guy on Twitter or YouTube") sites...he's 59th on CBS.
