Bradshaw played 2 games before UNC and he was 3 for 6.. in his first ever college games.. after being a 75% free throw shooter in HS. For the last time, there wasnt/isn't some glaring weakness in his ability to make free throws. He's clearly been making them at a higher clip than the majority of other 7 foot centers.
The right play was to keep him in (or if we must, someone like Tre and Adou), use his size to help even get the ball inbounded and not have a TO, and hope that he can at least hit a few free throws, which he did.
I could also make another argument that Bradshaw needs this experience. I would not have liked it if he missed ALL his free throws and we lose, but that was very likely not going to happen. And instead, we put him a pressure cooker situation, late in the game, which he will need to be accustomed to come March.
