Don't want to be too proud to admit I was wrong, so let me say I believe I was wrong in my initial take on Bowden at quarterback. I didn't think so early in the game, but once Gran let Bowden start to throw the ball enough to spread the field and loosen the defense up the offense started to look much better. I'm not sure how it would work against a better team but they didn't have to worry about that tonight. Kentucky's defense put the clamps on Arkansas after Rakeem Boyd's 74-yard run on the second play of the game and really prevented the Razorbacks from getting in much of a rhythm. That gave Kentucky's offense time to start to wear on the Arkansas defense.

This team really fought tonight. At one point I thought it was going to end in a loss, after the Razorbacks flipped momentum by forcing a 3 & out at the goal line and returning the punt then scoring to take the lead. But Lynn Bowden really sparked this offense from the late 2nd Q through

Brad White has done a great job in his first year as UK's DC. It's not an overpowering unit but they give Kentucky a chance to win just about every single week.

I don't want to overstate it because Arkansas is not a good team but this is a game Kentucky would have lost before 2016. They would have been in free fall mode after the negativity and the losses to UF, MSU and USC. That they didn't give in and played this hard to get a much needed "W" is a program victory.
