Kentucky got to the rim at will early in the game. Conversely, Wright State didn't connect nearly as well early in the game. At one point they were 3/13 FG early. Meanwhile, Kentucky was 12/19 to start. Those were often good looks in the paint from penetration but there were also rhythm threes from Jaxson Robinson and a wide open easy one for Brea. You saw a lot of assists on those buckets.
Amari Williams had a great first half and showed a versatile skill set. Really well-rounded player who can help you a lot of ways. But he will face much tougher assignments than he saw tonight.
Thought UK ran some interesting stuff on offense and didn't encounter as much resistance as they will see but they have the prototypes you want for most spots on the court. It was not just a three-point barrage, you see the method and they got high percentage looks from outside.
Kerr Kriisa definitely has a lot of confidence. Oweh was a very efficient offensive player tonight, he just needs to be more consistent this season than he was last year. Brea was smooth and lights out from outside the arc. I really like the frontcourt with Williams and Carr. Thought Chandler and Garrison are maybe a bit behind most of the others who got most of the minutes since Chandler has been away and Garrison is still developmental but they have a lot of other guys ready to battle.
Competition still not good so far but they did exactly what you would hope a good Kentucky team would do in a game like that.
