Kentucky built a 10-point first half lead but got sloppy with some turnovers and Miami quickly cut into the lead and surged ahead. It was Reed Sheppard coming into the game that gave the Cats the advantage going into the locker room. UK was +18 in Sheppard's first half minutes. You can look for all the other reasons but if the outcome continues repeating itself it's just obvious they're much better when he's in the game.

DJ Wagner was injured so Sheppard played pretty much the whole time coming out of the locker room and they just played at an extremely high level. The offensive execution looks like some of the best that we've seen from any college basketball team in recent years. Almost like Villanova from a few years ago.

You sort of run out of things to say about this team because it's like watching a squad that's constantly getting the other team out of sorts with ball movement and great offense.

Miami looked like they were ready to beat a good team in the first half for a stretch tonight. But this UK team is just so relentless in how they come in waves especially with the ball.

Only eight turnovers. Still not turning it over. 26 assists and eight turnovers.

Scoring balance very impressive as it has been all year. Thought Edwards was best when he was attacking and he played hard, especially early, so maybe he can build off that.
