Indoor facility and stadium improvements - update

People get injured on both. Can't believe someone on a message board skewed what someone else posted into complete emotional bullsht.
The new stuff is not like the old astroturf which was basically carpet on concrete. That stuff led to a ton of injuries.

Can’t believe we have people who are for unnecessary injuries to our boys and other teams’ players. Field looks 100x better in 2003 television quality compared to the turf in 2022 HD. Majority of players prefer natural grass.
2003 quality would actually hide some of the flaws in natural grass. What you are seeing in 2022 HD is exactly how it looks.

Updates in my original post. $30 million in private funding approved for a brand new indoor track and field facility, remodel to the existing facility to be a full football field and new video boards in the stadium.

Should build a brand new indoor to usher in a new Kentucky football instead of a rebuild 🍺🇺🇸
Nutter is right next to Commonwealth Stadium, the indoor training facility, and the outdoor fields. It's literally in the perfect spot. I understand the sentiment, but tearing down and building up would just be a waste of money.

New ain't always better. Nutter is great, will be even better as 100% football.

Very very positive offseason by our admin supporting the sport that pays the bill. Needed facility upgrades.. Outbid LSU for Brad White. Lavish Coen with a contract good enough that he told several places including the NFL Saints he was staying. Might still leave, but only for the 1 job that is just below NFL head coach.

Now all we need are some damn beer & wine sales on Saturdays. Oh and the big money folks to get busy & start creating these NIL cooperatives everyone is apparently starting, with $10M a year budgets per recruiting class.

I like where Nutter is right now. It connects with the new facility and its next to the stadium, but definitely needs improvement and I'm glad we're committed to improving it.

Get rid of the double wides in the 4 corners make the endzone stands look better with suites and more seating see Miss St or USC stadiums
New larger video boards
Bigger UK in middle of the field
Remove the Highway Sound panels off sides of stadium and brick the exterior like other SEC schools

I was wondering if we still had those heinous aluminum trailers as our luxury suites. Don’t know why those haven’t been replaced. Agree with your points above.

When did the Saints offer Coen? First I’ve seen of this. Thanks.

The screens need to be bigger. At least in one end zone, but why not both. But they also need to stop taking up 1/3 of the screen with advertising. They could attach smaller screens or backlit sign boxes to each end and free up the full screen.

They should spend the most to improve the Paddock experience.
The cocktail selection is pretty lame, and the chef can't even prepare a decent lobster bisque.

Don't know if they'll tear down the existing facility. It's already built and there is little reason to spend the money to rebuild it.
Besides, we can create a recruiting facility in one corner of it.

Hope Vandy does sink money into dressing up that dreary old stadium, make it nicer and more of a destination for visiting fans. Would help the booming NashVegas tourism economy for more than just Bachelorette parties. I'd love to make a weekend of it down there with friends for UK games.
