I think this is it for Oweh.

Chance? Sure.
But odds are against because of his shot.
He’s not a horrible shooter, but he’s not a good one either. In NBA he would make 20-30%.
I think he could still go in 2nd round. Maybe that’s good enough for him, idk. Don’t forget he can get guaranteed NIL $ to return, but a 2nd round pick has no guarantee.

His handles have to get much better.... And his outside shot is trash mechanically... Has alot of work to do to make it in the NBA..
I love Oweh. That said, it is very obvious a lot of the people on this board do not watch much NBA or know what to look for in evaluating pro potential. Oweh is mostly a slasher at this point, with a hitch in his jumper, subpar handling and vision and undersized for NBA 2G, which is the hardest position to get drafted high at unless you have an exceptional toolset because scoring wings are dime a dozen. Oweh needs to become an elite defender, improve his vision and overall playmaking to become a first rounder. The hitch will be hard to overcome

you’re absolutely correct imo. if he had good form and was a little less reckless on the drive, he’d be a top prospect. we live and die with his game right now. he can get paid by coming back and still play professionally. it’s a good story. he’s at the moment embarking on possible legendary status here at uk.

One season then make the nba jump. He’s starting to hit threes and seems like a first rounder to me. I know I’m not a massive follower of the nba but he’s a beast. He will end up a fantastic pro.
It is possible he attempts to make the jump, but he’s not going to be drafted. Bleacher Report doesn’t have him being drafted, and players at his position that are far better than him are going in mid-second round.

Elite defender? Who plays defense in the NBA?

If Shawn Marion can make it in the league then Oweh can. I know it's a different game now. If he shores up the handles I think he has a good shot at a roster. What boggles my mind is the layups he misses early on in games but seems to rectify that when the game is in crunch time. I hope he comes back next season. He's a beast in the college game. Where would we be without him? He was balling when we were healthy. I love that dude!

Why would you use Marion as a comp for OO?
Marion was 6'7- 6'8 and Uber athletic.

The hitch in his shot. Outside of Jamal Wilkes, Marion had the worst jumper I've ever seen. If those guys can make it then surely Oweh can.
Yeah but all the other things they had more than made up for it.
Marion was on a completely different level athletically.
After all they called him "The Matrix".
Guy like Dort, Jae Crowder or Marcus Smart are good comps for Oweh and all those guys were better than he is in college

Average height for an NBA 2G is 6'4.5", Oweh is right at that. It's his handle the will probably send him overseas to play.

So we go from Cal pushing kids out the door, to fans who hated Cal now trying to push kids out the door?

Let the thing marinate a bit before we return to the days of "he's going pro!" There's real NIL now to keep fringe kids like Oweh around, and Oweh's going to be making a lot of money if he's in Lexington next year.

I think so also. He looks like an nba player and you know he is itching to go. People hate hearing it but it's the truth. Will take a lot of money to keep him.

I can't blame Oweh. Why would you want to play in such a corrupt league, where you get touch fouls called on you but you get mugged every time down the floor?

So all the draft boards are wrong? You think he will be a 1st rounder and all the drafts experts think he won’t be drafted at all. Makes sense to me. 😵‍💫

6’8” and one of the most long and athletic dudes in the NBA of his time. Oh yeah, and he was an absolute glove defensively too. I swear, people on here can come up with some of the wildest stuff ever.

He will go through the process and it will be up to his play in the NBA combines. Anyone that thinks he has no chance to be drafted is just fooling themselves.
He will get a summer chance, but he’s not a first rounder and most likely not even second round at this point. I think he goes, gets feedback, and returns for a monster year and possible AA chance.
