Especially since the season ended on a sour note. A boom on one of the top transfers would ease our pain.
I just want the best players possible for Pope's system. It should not just be a rush to sign anyone. For someone as smart as Pope, he understands the process of evaluating, budgeting and carefully choosing.

With this portal shit ever year it will get exhausting to be a fan. I know some of you guys follow all these leads and players but the average fan with a busy life can't stay in the loop. I'm just gonna guess Mark will atleast field a team and they will play until the SEC beats the hell out of them. Hopefully it's a top 20 team atleast but my expectations of UK are becoming different then what we all grew up with. These players are 1 year rentals and winning a title is gonna be a tall task for Mark.
Winning a title is gonna be a tall task for everyone under the rules now. Duke is the only team with a leg up because they can start with 3-4 top 10 freshmen before ever hitting the portal.

I heard from a friend of friend that has a very good inside source that says Pope has a Zoom meeting set up with him after Kentucky's holding pattern is complete.
Bananas, soup beans, buttermik and mushrooms will do wonders.
unfortunately that's the winning combination. Duke will get the best players out of the portal too. The best freshmen play much better with the senior leadership. So get 3 or 4 of the top freshmen and who of the top players in the portal wouldn't want to win a title playing with Duke and the top frosh. This sets Duke up for a UCLA 68-75 type run.
