The game clock never stopped to move the chains!
WTF?

The SEC broke it off in UK again.

What was that bogus run off when they took 40 secs off the clock then let Vanderbilt run more time off after they took all that time off before they punted!

I have never in my life seen refs just decide to take 40 seconds off of a clock because of an operator error, and then also start the clock again and let the other team run 25 more off. That was crazy shit
It was a joke, but had nothing to do with our inability to do anything at the end. We had more than enough clock.

Letting Vandy run off over a minute before that punt was indeed a pretty egregious screw up, although it ended up having nothing to do with us failing to move the ball once we had it.

Your primary complaint in the thread title is off base though. It’s a new rule within the past couple of years that the clock only stops for first downs inside the last 2 minutes of each half. The clock kept running on that drive because that’s what it was supposed to do.
