How upset would you be if UT jumps UK in AP poll

and denies Kentucky of their highest ranking in 45 yrs (circa 1977)?
Especially after UK beat UF in Gainesville by 10 while UT beat them by just 5 pts in Knoxville.
Plus UK is 4-0 despite playing without arguably the best RB in UK history who is scheduled to be back v Ole Miss Sat.
Here is to hoping the AP pollsters do the right thing and put UK #7 and UT #8 and not vice versa.
If they screw UK and the Vols jump us it would be a major nut punch to our football program and a slap in the face to Stoops and to UK fans such as yourselves.

OP didn't mention TN has 2 wins over top 25 teams and UK just has one. From a neutral party, it would be easy to justify TN jumping us. Our win over Northern Illinois didn't help us any. Should have won by 28 to 35.

Just like in basketball, early rankings don't matter whatsoever. Only time rankings matter are at the end of the season. Iowa & Penn State were top 5 at this point in the season, look where they ended up. I remember when Miss St was ranked #1 when they came to Lexington, then fell off.

Not in a power conference, especially the SEC or Big 10. Even with A&M with a one bad loss would get in if they ran the table. I don't think they will, but if that scenario played out, they would. Ole Miss is at 14 right now at
4-0, Washington at 15, Minnesota at 21, Florida State at 23, all unbeaten. So no, right now it doesn't really matter.

Can we please stop acting like Tennessee squeaking by the 8th or 9th best team in the ACC is some kind of quality win 😂 they’re going to finish with 4 losses (like usual) LSU, Kentucky, UGA, Bama. I think that gimmicky little offense will get exposed pretty bad against LSU, a lot like Miss St did. Back to the Music City Bowl for Tennessee

Look I hate ut like everyone. But they have an elite, elite offense and are very good. They will even give Bama and UGA fits and we will have our hands full with them when we play. Sorry but it is a top 10 team this year and are very dangerous

That elite offense is a decent high school offense. It has a very simple route tree and relies on the defense being slow lining up and the QB being able to read the lazy DB. Disciple by the defensive team of not celebrating a good play and pounding his chest after a good play is mandatory because doing so is a UT big play. Now I don't know if my defense or yours can do that, if they can UT has a long day.

And Kentucky plays 3 more undefeated teams as of right now. We've only played one decent team so far, the rankings will work themselves out. Need to win this weekend to prove if we're an actual top 10 team.
