First of all, when has hiring an interim head coach as the permanent head coach ever worked out well long term for any program? You’d think ADs would have learned their lesson by now.
Texas athletics is basically on par with Louisville athletics as far as being a shitshow goes, except with as many resources as an athletics department could possibly want (too many people with too much power all wanting a say is a big part of their problem).
With Texas coming into the SEC, I expect the current coach to only get one more year before all those people with all that money decide being in the bottom half of the SEC is not good enough.
