Love Noah's nose for the ball. Almost reminds me of a freshman Gerald Fitch in how the ball always seems to find his hands during bang-up plays.
Noah lived every Kentucky boy's dream last night. He came off the bench in Rupp to beat Tennessee and, if you follow the plus/minus stat, he was the best player. I hope he has himself a day today.
Pope's only true misstep of his tenure to this point is favoring
Holler Baller over
Mountain Mamba, imo. GTFO with that nonsense. Mountain Mamba is it.
* If you put any stock in the +/- stat, Carr was 16 last night and Almonor was -6, despite a hefty scoring differential in favor of Ansley. I don't care how badly injured Carr looks on TV, he needs to be on the floor every minute his body will allow. He's that important to this team.
Withthatsaid, Ansley sticking one right in
Chaz's eye for the And-1 in Rupp and woofing about it needs to make the highlight reel this season.
* Can we get
that Koby Brea the rest of the year? Dude looked like an NBA veteran last night.
* That felt like a tournament win. How in the world did Pope pull that win out of his ass?
Good coaches lose that game and have every excuse in the world for doing so. In the moment, this feels like a milestone on Pope's journey at UK. My boy is wicked smaaaaart.
* This whole video is magic but at 1:50, Noah hugs Pope in the handshake line and then some lady grabs Noah, presumably for an interview. Carr and Lamont both instantly exert senior privilege and start rubbing Noah's head to mess up his hair for the interview. 😆.
