Not sure what is going through Williams head. Former defensive player of the year not even trying to contest shots and playing defense with his hands below his waste makes zero sense. Is he letting the offensive side of the ball get to him? Garrison is out playing him right now.

This team is a lot like the 98 squad. Both have multiple veterans who could be the best player on a given night. I actually think Robinson will be our best player by season's end. He isn't there yet. He and Brea need to stop shying away from contact and get to the line. The three will always be there, but both need to be scoring in a multitude of ways. Same complaint I had with Grady.

32 satisfied customers. Got them all hammered on various newly popped bourbons… a few nice surprises. The new Little Book Infinite is excellent, HighWire 7yr Wheated, and KLuke single barrel were top notch.

If you're not drinking Macallan 18 Old Fashioneds you're declasse...

Might as well just drink Long Island Iced Teas and smoke generic heaters on the back deck.

Brea ain't getting to the line dude, except on a rare occasion. 52 FTA in the past 3 years. Most one dimensional player ever.

Sounds like Caleb Wilson will announce his commitment date by the middle of next week (finally).

Wake Forest coach resigned; Brad White could be an option there (it's his alma mater).

- Butler, to me, looks like a pro. After struggling last year, he’s in the 98th percentile at finishing at the rim - and the only guard in the top 10 (min. 40 attempts). He’s shooting 48% from 3. He rarely turns the ball over despite a very high usage rate. And he’s (probably) the best defensive guard in the country.

- He also finished with a 105 TS% in our biggest rivalry game of the season.

- He’s not going to shoot like that from 3 all season, but he doesn’t take bad 3s in this offense. Most of them are above the break. And his shot does not look “flukey” at all to me.

- If you watch closely, I’d bet you’d agree he’s also our best off-the-ball mover in terms of cuts, running his guy into screens, and relocating into advantageous positions.

- All that to say: for all the hand-wringing about not having a “go-to guy,” I’m pretty sure we have one.

I think we have several go-to guys, depending on the game. Several guys have shown that they can fill the role vs the right opponent:

-Carr (I don't expect it all the time, but he carried us late 2H of Duke game)
-Robinson (Gonzaga game)
-Oweh, when necesssary
-Butler, consistently

Good comment by Vern comparing to 1998 team. This team may not have superstars, but alot of damn good players who complement each other and are greater than the sum of the parts.

And man, experience and maturity are SO valuable.

Or we just swear off Klutch but that may be harder to do. What's weird to me is that he doesn't seem like that kind of kid in interviews and even his gameplay. Seems more like a team oriented guy.

back door cut for nice dunk and runner off glass just in the last game alone....stick to cucking loser

I didn't know the rules changed where these counted as FTA. Interesting.

His last 6 games.....50 FGA (38 were 3PA) and this many times to the line....0.

Stick to the subject and you're welcome.

-I think the Klutch thing is overblown. I get it, I've bitched about it as well. Even rented a few movies on Rich's Amazon Prime account out of spite. However, Koby Brea is a client. John Wall, Bledsoe, Fox, Maxey, Lyles, and AD. All those dudes were great here. Cal insisting on playing athletic college 4s at he 2 and 3 isn't Klutch's issue. Pope gets the benefit of the doubt on character screening... until he doesn't.

-Rack, KSTA. Nice post.

-That Christmas on Netflix is a heaping pile of woke dogshit. Hopefully, the last of the forced feed "token" animated kids movies. I actually enjoyed Red One, not a yearly repeat but humorous and somewhat original.

-So far Skeleton Crew is fantastic. The boys love it. Turned into our Sunday Morning ritual.

-Looks like a pretty mild Christmas. Bummer. Little dusting of snow would be appreciated.

-Netflix docu-series on The Portal would be dope AF. Sounds like the wild west out there.

I put it out there and wanted to close it up. My mom ended up passing yesterday morning. Even though she was in decline for awhile, nothing in this world prepared me for what's followed. Never experienced anything like this where a constant wave of positive memories have taken me through every bit of my life with her. Can barely go a few minutes without something coming up from the depths of my memory and while it's more grief today, those turn into smiles later - so I've been told. Hold and hug them if you got 'em. There will never be another like you, mom and miss and love you dearly. Rest in peace.

* I try to work the term "moist" into conversation as often as possible. Just really seems to irritate people, for some reason.

* Went viral on Linkedin again last week. This time for a great pic of me and Master P at the Chamber luncheon on Thursday. Just so much street cred now from my fellow business networkers.

* Back in the day when I was at Humana, we'd get a list of all the groups/businesses we sold the previous month. It would look like.....

XYZ bank = 27 employees
Acme plumbing = 9 employees
Etc

Could have knocked me over with a feather when it read "Cash Money Records / 6 employees" one month. But I guess that was a big part of their success. As I've always said, offering a robust benefits package is a huge part of a business being able to recruit and retain the best talent.

* Watched Carry On (Netflix) last night. Good, easy watch. It was shot at the old New Orleans airport, and we have a huge tv and film industry here. It's always funny to see places I know randomly pop up. Not to mention, one of my buddies had a glorified extra role in it.

"dude. rewind that. is that mike???"

* Nancy Grace had one hell of a run. What a crazy ass bitch.

* I'm way late to the game here, but I've finally begun to understand the whole "getting out the door in the morning" stress. And we just have 2 dogs. Score 1 for those who just work from home. I can't even imagine having children.

Thoughts and prayers with you and your family. My mother was put in the hospice care yesterday and just left her about 30 minutes ago. Have never cried so hard in my life when I walked out of the hospital.

We both work from home, have one kid in school, and the other hasn't started yet. Chaos from about 6:30am to about 9:00 pm. Summer is even more chaotic. Getting out the door sounds like heaven.

My wife is stay at home mom and this house is beyond chaotic from 6am - 7:30pm. Today, she was gone from 7am to 12:30pm and I took care of kids while working (taking calls and zoom meetings). Easy as shit.

She got home and both kids were dressed (a rarity), brushed, had done a drawing (for mom of course 🙄), had a huge lunch, all dishes done, 3 loads of laundry done, and the kids sitting and watching a movie.

I understand. Mine went on to her eternal home at 12:35 central yesterday as well. Thinking about your family.
