I started posting on the network on KentuckyPreps in late 2000 or early 2001 as a high schooler. My username came from something we did in the student section during free throws it so old. I knew CatsPause from the magazine and stumbled upon here when I was trying to Google the CatsPause preseason basketball rankings for the 12th Region. Mostly read Rafters when it was just the basketball forum until my sophomore year of college when I saw someone I knew from high school posting in here. I was one of the youngest posters at the time and now I'm 40...

It's crazy to think about by I probably never meet my wife without posting here. I was only in Lexington for an internship, all of my roommates graduated were moving away, I didn't want to move away and was searching everywhere for a roommate and ultimately ended up living with Will for a year in the most Odd Couple relationship possible, if not for that I was heading back home for work. That was the year I ended up becoming friends with my wife's brother.

Some memories off the top of my head:

Tommy peeing on windows
MikeWilbanks Grandma having a heart attack
The Texas State brawl of 2006
Tommy and PetiteCountryCat
FSU/TCU board takeovers
Bernie humping cars after the 2007 LSU win
The Wodie Crew Van with a beer tap
73 breaking Anth's TV during a game we won

And since this discussion always leads me to the Wayback Machine here's "General Chat" from when I started:

And the oldest working GYERO I could find:
F*ck, how awful was TKE's sig?

Cawood broke the TV. We went to return it to Walmart that Monday and lucky for him they accepted a TV with a perfect round crack the exact circumference of the bottom of a beer bottle.

I thought it was you, 80 and TX building the football database.

Yeah maybe it was Tx. It’s been almost 20 years ago and we got started but obviously didn’t get that far.

The Gumminator 😍.

August 2001. I was a Lair guy only for 10 years, whining, living & dying with Bill Curry…

Long time Lurker……since 2003 for sure. Remember many shenanigans, bbdk food takes, Halloween parties, tail gates that found individuals in awkward places, etc. Reading this kept my sanity as I was in an accident in 2014 bedridden for year and half through two surgeries. My mother in and out of hospitals for several years while staying up at night with her, Whenever I needed a laugh.

Finally decided create an account last year.
Back to Lurking…

I'm just glad PTI was found after being declared missing. I would have really missed that guy.

"The Door" Was about the most traffic / F5ing at any given time. The site would over load with too many posters and crash.

So many different "events" that would cause a massive 2/3 shitstorm of posting. It could have been a major event occurring, like a big recruit signing, or just something simple that got everyone talking about it.

#1 rule, dig in and never waver on whatever your stance was on something, good or bad. If you ever admitted you was wrong or changed your stance, you was eaten alive.

2008 Vandy tailgate was great until the actual game started. Willy bringing the Black Haus led to an early exit that night.

In regards to Lil' Mez.

One of two things, jail time from drugs or getting high on drugs somewhere in Ohio County.

06 or 07' in college. Started for the smart UK fan sports takes stayed for the TommyG and others debauchery stories (RIP).

Things that quickly stick out for me are CC inviting someone to FAFO at a softball field (cant remember who?), GYERO fads like toe shoes, butt injury nightmare fuel and krazys amazing stories in run on paragraph form.

Cheers to another 20+ some odd years it truly has been a thread of immense wisdom and UKO cringe

I got banned multiple time for posting, “I’d hit it.” Pretty darn tame if you ask me. Luckily, I found out TKE and I played little league together at Prairie Village, so I was saved.

It took a while, but Anthony and I discovered we lived in neighboring neighborhoods off Lower Hunters. I think the UK hearse is what got us there.

My son was a newborn when I started posting. He’s about to complete his 2nd year at Bellarmine.

Have a take
Don't suck

In those early days some poor rascal would wander in and break both rules to the point that Mattox would dispatch them with extreme prejudice, it was beautiful.

I love the Marty & McGee show. Great way to start Saturdays, typically on the way to the course.

What brought me here was the Chuck Hayes rape allegations in 05. Somehow stumbled into catpaw.

I'm glad the Browns put us out of our misery. I'm not even watching or following the draft and I somehow know all about Shedeur Sanders.

Fayette County Public Schools lost a federal grant of more than $170,000 to help provide busing and other services to homeless students because its application was “vague” and “incomplete,”:

Pretty sure @cawoodsct broke the TV on an Eric Scott penalty in the UL game (?) that we won.

Also, remember when me, @80 Proof and someone else, maybe @bradyjames (?) were trying to make a football history website like Jon Scott’s site?
It was cawood. I was standing right there, when it happened. it didn't smash the screen or anything, it just went "off"...

It's not like he put some mustard on it or anything. Just a freak/perfect hit I guess.

Are you really going to keep posting this in GYERO ? Why ? Is there not a Fayette Co school thread ? If not, make one.

Been browns fan entire life, it’s been a shit org pretty much that entire time. But gone to a new level with Tennessee Haslam last 10-12 yrs, just can’t do it anymore.
Don’t watch much NFL these days but guess I’ll move to Coen in Jax for the time being.

Threw it at the side of the beautiful UK van. Hit 📺… Goodnite now.
Was a brand new TV. Was ready to pay the $1,000. Anth and I walked in Hamburg Walmart Monday and they took it back.

Theoretical question for GYERO law:

I was headed to Lowes in Gtown yesterday, and 1 car up from me was a stereotypical lifted pickup. A ginormous beast, with all of the earmark rear window stickers you'd expect. Anyway, light turns green, and here it comes; rolling coal so black that it blotted out the sun.

It's probably happened to everyone here, but the car in front of me was driven by a young mother with two kids in the car, and their windows were down, which struck a nerve, like, that's all that woman and her kids need.

My question is: Could that be considered battery? It seems the same (to me) as walking up to someone and blowing cigarette smoke right in their face.
