Not sure what is going through Williams head. Former defensive player of the year not even trying to contest shots and playing defense with his hands below his waste makes zero sense. Is he letting the offensive side of the ball get to him? Garrison is out playing him right now.

This team is a lot like the 98 squad. Both have multiple veterans who could be the best player on a given night. I actually think Robinson will be our best player by season's end. He isn't there yet. He and Brea need to stop shying away from contact and get to the line. The three will always be there, but both need to be scoring in a multitude of ways. Same complaint I had with Grady.

32 satisfied customers. Got them all hammered on various newly popped bourbons… a few nice surprises. The new Little Book Infinite is excellent, HighWire 7yr Wheated, and KLuke single barrel were top notch.

If you're not drinking Macallan 18 Old Fashioneds you're declasse...

Might as well just drink Long Island Iced Teas and smoke generic heaters on the back deck.

Brea ain't getting to the line dude, except on a rare occasion. 52 FTA in the past 3 years. Most one dimensional player ever.

Sounds like Caleb Wilson will announce his commitment date by the middle of next week (finally).

Wake Forest coached resigned; Brad White could be an option there (it's his alma mater).

- Butler, to me, looks like a pro. After struggling last year, he’s in the 98th percentile at finishing at the rim - and the only guard in the top 10 (min. 40 attempts). He’s shooting 48% from 3. He rarely turns the ball over despite a very high usage rate. And he’s (probably) the best defensive guard in the country.

- He also finished with a 105 TS% in our biggest rivalry game of the season.

- He’s not going to shoot like that from 3 all season, but he doesn’t take bad 3s in this offense. Most of them are above the break. And his shot does not look “flukey” at all to me.

- If you watch closely, I’d bet you’d agree he’s also our best off-the-ball mover in terms of cuts, running his guy into screens, and relocating into advantageous positions.

- All that to say: for all the hand-wringing about not having a “go-to guy,” I’m pretty sure we have one.

I think we have several go-to guys, depending on the game. Several guys have shown that they can fill the role vs the right opponent:

-Carr (I don't expect it all the time, but he carried us late 2H of Duke game)
-Robinson (Gonzaga game)
-Oweh, when necesssary
-Butler, consistently

Good comment by Vern comparing to 1998 team. This team may not have superstars, but alot of damn good players who complement each other and are greater than the sum of the parts.

And man, experience and maturity are SO valuable.
