You’re dating your Aruba experience as Senior Frogs closed in 2016. But go ahead and start playing travel agent to Geese Feeder based on a trip you took 20 years ago:

I've spent over 100 nights on Aruba in the last decade+ bub. Went 2-3x a year between 2012 & Covid, without exception. Was "our spot", if you will. Staying in Oranjestad is ridiculous, and aligns perfectly with your generic ass.

-Ketchup on a burger is for churrin.

-How does parking work these days at Memorial for actual events? Like, just wherever you can find a spot on campus or what?

-Malachi at 11:30?

I've spent over 100 nights on Aruba in the last decade bub. But you're correct in that I haven't visited downtown more than a handful of times.
I've gone there twice. Once in 2005 and then again last Spring. I would like your opinion on this, but I feel like Aruba seemed more run down this last time around. And more depressing, all the coral I saw was dead.

Welp the new Post Malone country album is straight gas, I fear

A baseball-less weekend on the horizon. Hopefully can carve out some time to grill a smash burger and enjoy an ice cold domesto. It’s been a minute.

back to school, Friday night lights next week, fall baseball, highs in the upper 70’s next week. The best time of the year is within arms reach. I’ll blink and be watching the cats on Saturdays, making my annual pilgrimage down to sunny Destin for a week of perfect weather (or historic hurricanes) and dusting off my favorite hoodies. Yes sir, we’re almost there gang.

I’m a big fan of the spicy ketchup. Idc who that offends!!

I understand that Hawk Tuah girl wasn’t prepared to become a celebrity, but she’s really awful at everything I’ve seen her do. She needs a good PR person. She’s not built for podcasts or interviews. She’s not interesting or funny or insightful at all. She just needs to do a celebrity dating show or learn TikTok dances or something. Bc there are approx 50 instagram influencers I find 10000 more entertaining than her. Idc who that offends either!!

That new Toyota Land Cruiser is safely out of my budget (thanks travel baseball and kamala!) but IF I was in the market for a new 4wd, it’d be very high on my list.

What exactly makes Mayo OK, but ketchup a no no ? Are they both not condiments ? Burger with swiss, a little ketchup, pickle, and dab of mustard, IDGAF what everyone else says it HAS to have. I guess meatloaf needs to lose the ketchup and just be a big ass clump of beef with onions and peppers in it. Some people just try way too hard, somethings, simple is fine. Not like a burger is a filet of beef or anything. Steak, yes it is a sin to add sauce, a burger though ????

Two kids in high school now. Very weird. They are actual “people” at this point. It’s hard to explain. The senior could not give less of a shit and I can’t say I blame him. College applications are already being prepped and sent. He basically only makes Special Guest Appearances at home these days.

The freshman has settled in fairly well. He already has credibility with the upperclassmen on his soccer team and was escorted to class on his first day by a senior and junior. And by escorted, I mean carried. He’ll be fine.

Ketchup never ON a burger. Small side of ketchup to occasionally dip the burger in is OK though. Ketchup (same with meatloaf) should never get warm. Keep it cold and keep it on the side.

Burgers are so good they can be made in multiple ways and still be great food. A mushroom Swiss combo, sautéed onions/bacon/cheddar/BBQ sauce, smashed with American and onions, traditional with mayo/mustard and lettuce/onion/tomato/pickle....

To limit burgers to one style only is lunacy, bordering on a simpletons take.

Exotic: 1 lb brisket blend, TBS Dales, 1/2 stick unsalted butter cubed, S/P, 2 TBS Concord Grape Jelly… Grill to med well.

Burgers are better beyond med rare.

I'm finishing up an 8 week kettlebell program. On it, you work up to 30 rounds of this complex: 2 cleans, 1 press, and 3 double kettlebell squats. Completed that one on Wednesday. My legs are jello. Next week I get to look forward to 100 presses. Whoopee.
* Getting ready to get back into grilling and landscaping again after living in a townhouse for more than a year. My first mow yesterday was brutal. I didn't realize how quickly I had become a buttersoft baby bitch when it comes to physical labor.

Sounds like it is working!

-I’ve had four honeymoons in Aruba. Go to the Italian place

I'm cool with a gourmet burger, on a restaurant menu, every now and then. I just don't make them at home. Granted, most of them turn into a sloppy mess. At home though, an all American smashburger is meant to have a crispy bite. Slathering sweet ketchup all over it takes away from the entire point of the smash.

Big-time for Pope to get that first top recruit on board. Build the momentum!
Land him and (as it looks like may actually happen) Jasper Johnson and we would be playing with house money. Those guys alongside Chandler and, to a lesser extent, Perry and Noah are a solid little nucleus to build from.

It is nice to get some consistent elite in-state talent for the first time in a quarter century or longer.

This is genius. Front row tickets for the B/W game might get to four figures.

80 is right, cheeseburgers are good no matter what, I'll take a plain cheeseburger any time BUT a hamburger is trash and anyone who grills all the burgers without cheese and says "people who want cheese can put it on after" should not be allowed on the grill.

For the record, I do not like ketchup on my own burgers.

Moreno is a huge start for Pope in his first real class. The recent smoke behind JJ is very interesting as well.

Tonight is the last sunset after 830 until May.

Hitting up the state fair this weekend. An annual guilty pleasure of mine. See all rhe 4H/FFA exhibits, main st kentucky, and of course a pork burger from the Kentucky Pork Producers

Kids names these days, specifically white yuppie ones, are getting out of hand.

15 days until UK football!

I spent most of Father's Day this year tinkering around in the kitchen. Ended up with a homemade bacon onion jam on some charcoal grilled 1/2 lb burgers with blue cheese crumbles. Incroyable. Had been on the smash burger train for a couple years and decided to mix it up. Think I preferred the fancy one.

Huge get for Pope & the program, especially at this stage, given his first actual recruiting cycle. The days of fielding 5* freshman lineups are over thankfully, but nagging a few key targets annually is huge for the program's recruiting momentum going forward post-Cal.

Obviously, the fact he's local just makes it extra great. Keep it rolling.

Low 5* and high 4* is a great sweet spot. Your occasional elite recruit is fine as well assuming you have a veteran group to keep the ego in check.
That's what we missed under Cal: high quality talent that stayed a few years to develop. I'd much rather have Malachi Moreno, Colin Chandler, etc for two or three years than Archie Goodwin for one.
