Love when Steelers fans leave Cincy sad too.

Rare occurrences, so you gotta celebrate those when you can.

Do the people on this thread with tattoos regret the way they look at all? Does it drive you crazy or do you just kind of go on with your day not worrying about? I'll understand if you can't respond until tonight when you get done with your shift on the loading docks.
Sorry for the delay, was conducting a presentation with a 10b financial firm...

...just got mine done in May, zero remorse. Trying to reconnect with the artist, who semi-retired shortly after, to fill out the design around the upper arm/shoulder. I'll keep you posted!

Staying at Bucuti & Tara, so we're hitting up Elements on-site the first day we're there.

Papiamento, Quinta del Carmen, Italy in the World, 2 Fools are already on the books. Open to a couple more to keep in our back pocket.
There is no f'ing way Italy in the World is better than Flying Fishbone. None.

United, Delta and American all fly to Aruba.

-starting to get the new ride itch... looking at all sorts of sexy stuff*. 80% chance I'll puss out and buy another chevy pickup. It's like the scene in the jerk where Navin moves his folks into a "bigger better house", iykyk.

*would love an audi rs5 sportback maybe an AMG e53 or an X5 M.

^not particularly practical, but **** it... as Ricky bobby said I wanna go fast.

-2 kids in college is gonna put a damper on travel budget for a bit... maybe a Maine- New Brunswick/nova Scotia/pei trip will scratch the "something new" itch.

- Napa in a couple weeks - very excited for a much needed vacation with my wife only. Vacation with the kids nowadays just seems like being a parent in another location without all your shit.

- Had to give up my “company car” that I was leasing through the business when I sold a chunk of it. Was a great perk of being a business owner to have a free car basically. Black top with white and black rims Range Rover Sport HSE. Was an absolute pussy magnet wasted on my 40 something ass with 3 kids. Drove like a dream but half the stuff wouldn’t work half the time. Wish I had it in my 20s. Just got a Genesis GV80 last week. Never heard of them but my cousin is an engineer for them so I got a 35% friends and family discount. It’s pretty nice I guess. I’m not really a car guy so I really don’t give that much of a shit.

-My wife has a work conference in Asheville in October at the Biltmore that we’re going to. They only had one room left with double beds. Asked them what was going on and they said “It’s the fall”. So I guess Anderson Cooper is doing well

-Baseball is awful

-School next Wednesday - will be a punch in the face getting the kids ready. Dreading it.

It's a noted tourist trap place b/c of TOES IN THE SAND!!! -- Wayne's clueless smug ass deserves it.

I stayed by that Italian place (Marriott). I'm sure the food is great. However, 1) I walked by that place almost every night and there were hardly any people there and 2) it's in downtown Oranjestad (a block off the main drag) which is kind of rundown.

IDGAF if the Flying Fishbone is a tourist trap or not. It's one of the most unique and beautiful restaurants I've ever been to. The fish is right off the boat. And they serve it various ways. I went with the rice, curry and seafood for $32. It was fantastic. Point is, you're on vacation in the Caribbean. I want scenery and fresh seafood. This covers both. But sure, go to the hole in the wall Italian place for some chicken parm. Up to you.

Up to me, actually.

We're there for 7 days at Aruba's top hotel (per TA) with a beach front /ocean view suite -- so if we not end up dining ON the water one of those evenings, I think we'll manage. Hell, I was even was able to book a flight and a rental car in the same day (thanks for the airline recs)

We hit up a similar OMGZ THE VIEW spot in Antigua last year, albeit no screaming kids, called Sheer Rocks. It was nice.

Your picture was dope tho.

We actually went a few months back kinda as a funny excuse to get out of house one Sunday evening to bid a nostalgic farewell. I was also kinda curious after probably 20-25 years since my last visit.

It was incredible how awful it was, and I got the goddam ultimate lobster feast or whatever. Takes talent to make an abomination of butter soaked shellfish.

Bar area was closed & lights off. As were several main sections. Sad.

I mean, Wayne stayed in downtown Aruba with the cruise crowd vs Eagle or Palm Beach. Don’t need to know much else.

How were Senor Frogs & the straw markets?
You’re dating your Aruba experience as Senior Frogs closed in 2016. But go ahead and start playing travel agent to Geese Feeder based on a trip you took 20 years ago:

We came upon a giftcard somehow 5-6 years ago. Was remarkable how bad it was.

American cuisine has its faults, but I’m getting videos from “the spud brothers” on my timeline that are British people lined up for a food truck that serves baked potatoes covered in shredded cheese and baked beans. That’s it.

So it could be worse.

The Australians make the Brits look like friggin' Thomas Aloysius (his actual middle name) Keller when it comes to food. A continent full of hospital food and weird cheese. Yuck.

* I love that Kentucky football has been able to operate in the shadow of basketball again this summer. If we are being honest, Calipari was so absolutely obnoxious that post 2015 it was easy to focus more attention on football. And Stoops has been delivering at far higher than historical averages in football, so that's been a nice diversion.

I'm ready for things to get back to normal. I want Kentucky basketball to be Darth Vader and Kentucky football to be Luke Skywalker again.

* Getting ready to get back into grilling and landscaping again after living in a townhouse for more than a year. My first mow yesterday was brutal. I didn't realize how quickly I had become a buttersoft baby bitch when it comes to physical labor.

My grill game is a bit off, too. Perishable skills, man.

* Did Rob fall off a ladder again or something?

You forgot to get your burger preference approved by Tony before posting it richie. WTF were you thinking?

Ketchup is… fine but we live in the golden age of condiment sauce choices. Gimme the generic “burger sauce” $1.79 bottle from Kroger and I’m good.

- I've started putting Duke's Habanero Garlic on pretty much everything. Also rather enjoy Trader Joe's Dill Pickle Mustard. It's the little things, gang.

- I haven't really kept up with the changing winds re: Jasper Johnson, but the fact that Jeff Piecoro referred to him as a "6-8 swing player" last night on WTVQ tells me pretty much everything I need to know about Piecoro as a news source. I mean, good grief.

- Pretty embarrassing dad moment this week. Between vacation and some unexpected schedule craziness, I neglected my backyard for way too long. Went to cut it with my standard-model Honda push mower and it just couldn't do it. Having to hire the neighbor kid to bail me out with his lawn tractor. Shameful, tbh.

- Last weekend of my 40's. I'm still sore from playing Pickleball....four days ago.

- Go Guards.

Confession Time: I’m smug, but I’m only at the level where I go to Trader Joe’s for snacks and condiments. I’m not “buy groceries at Trader Joe’s” smug. Not yet, anyways.

Potato Bun
Mayo (or burger sauce)
Grilled/Caramelized Onions
Bacon
American Cheese (bonus points if you get the burnt edges over the burger)
Smashed Patty with Crispy Edges

If it's not homemade I'm going with a Five Guys Grilled Cheese add a burger patty with the same toppings.

Got the same itch, but thinking more of a weekend car than a daily. Have barley driven the Jeep this summer and my love of 911s reignited when a buddy of mine recently bought a new Turbo. No way I'm spending a quarter mil on a new one, but looking at some nice 10 year old ones because I'm a poor.

My advice to you, avoid the Audi. We've had a couple in our fleet over the years when my Uncle was still here at the dealership and they are expensive, maintenance nightmares. Mercedes all day between those 3, mainly because James Motors service is next level good.

-Mags is correct. The Bernie / Vonn podcast is excellent for the reasons he listed. Disagree with the the guy but at least he's having a f*cking sensible conversation.

-Of course the JRE Sandler podcast turned into a name dropping conversation of who all MUUUUUUURDERS or is a KIIIIILLLER up there from the old days. I just can't with him and comedians. Reminds me of Cal on that Podcast with K. Just naming every old coach they ever talked to coming up through the ranks. Terrible radio.

-Back in a nice reading groove. Finished Stiff and Rudolph Diesel. On to finally knock out Killer Moon and Demon of Unrest(audible).

-It's just best if you clear most life, food, or booze decisions with me before moving forward. It'll keep you from embarrassing yourself by adding ketchup to a burger. Asking for A1. Ordering a steak medium well. Putting Ale 8 in a perfectly good glass of whisky. Sporting a goatee in public. Wearing loafers fishing. Wearing hightop basketball shoes after the age of 40. Those type of things.

-Much needed low key weekend on tap. Been a minute.

-Clippers new arena looks amazing. Love the wall idea. No opposing fans allowed. 50 something uninterrupted rows. Having the recruiting room in the way of our students is kinda whack. Obviously Rupp isn't ideal for students.

-Blue-White in Memorial. Gotdamn I love Mark Pope.
