As someone who was in the arena last night, that was really fun.

This team can be a final four team folks. If they do lack some talent, which I’m not sure they do, they make up for it with toughness and heart.

Pope totally out coached Scheyer in the second half. And Duke got a couple of lucky garbage buckets, and a sweet whistle to help them to that lead in the first half.

Flagg is the real deal. The real deal. Not sure he has the supporting cast to win it all.

Think about it, we beat a very good team with our best player scoring one point. Duke loses by 20 if Flagg scores one point.

And Calipari loses that game.

More UK fans in the arena than the other 3 schools combined I thought. Thought Kansas and Michigan St travelled better.

Michigan St is flat out awful right now. Will still probably have them winning 3 in my bracket come March though.

Yet to see a team look significantly better than UK. Let me know if you do.

So refreshing to have a coach that encourages his fans to like the team rather than go out of his way to be contradictory and inflammatory towards them! It’s a long dead horse at this point, but the juxtaposition between Cal and Pope is almost comical. You’ll never get me to believe Pope isn’t a lurker on this very thread. Everything he does seems to be intentional and directed at the way Cal treated this fan base. Bless him.

Spent most of the morning on the road and consuming every bit of college basketball I can. How fun is this? Really bummed we don’t play again for another week.

I don't even know if he says anything I disagree with, but the way he says it... there's a faux intellectual arrogance that is just a huge turnoff. Nationally, people point to the embarrassing first round flameouts and singular national championship despite insane talent, but where Cal really lost BBN was in November and December. The country may not, but we care about the entire season. And my God did we have to eat a lot of early season shit every year.
