Every single bit of criticism toward Cal this year was warranted. But by all means keep following him with the blind devotion of a lunatic if it makes you feel better.
Win these and win in Knoxville, and it becomes very reminiscent of 2011 who did the same thing and got the road monkey off their back at the end of the regular season in that shithole.

Edwards deserved this game because he's done what we've all asked of players everytime they come through our system. He's hustled, been a good teammate and doesn't cause an issue even though his offense didn't translate. I hope today was a trend and not an aberration, but I'm as happy as can be for a guy I've dogged all year.
Thiero is insane. The and 1 he had where he double clutched late was an AD level athletic play. Helps that he can basically jump 4 feet in the air, but the body control was on another level.
Everyone was clicking, no one was overthinking and Cal stayed out of the way. I guess we just need to avoid marginal teams and only strive to play top 25 squads in the tourney.

Teams are obviously going to struggle to outgun UK.
They are going to get rough and in their face like USC did. I hate to advocate it but some of these guys need to get a little floppy and dramatic like Quickley did and get teams to back off

That's the best we've looked defensively while giving up 95 points. It's crazy how much our offense speeds up the opponents offense and leads to takeaways. Having Reed and Reeves as the tip of the spear helps, but guys get a bit frenetic when we start bombing and bangin on em.

The fire Cal group is overbearing with their BS and most(not Brady) are like me and don’t contribute to the “program” in anyway and have no real clue what it is to raise 32M to fire a guy that accomplishes what we did today 1-2 times a season.

I remember leaving Rupp after that Ole Miss game on Valentine’s Day thinking Edwards was effectively “done” as a Cat. He was awful that game.

It’s not about being overly positive as it is not being doom and gloom from blowing double digit leads.
Reality is that sounds bad but how do you get upset when 4 of our losses were all decided in the last minute where we don’t foul UF, LSU hits a buzzer beater, A&M and Gonzaga came down to FTs. Leaving 2 bad losses to USC and UT as far as score and the UNCW.
Whether it should have been a game or not in the last minute those type loses to me do not make us bad. Collectively it sucks, but we have beat 4 really good teams in UF, UNC, Auburn and Bama with a chance to knock off UT to end the regular season.
I feel great about my team and ready to see them with win or go home pressure.

Had we just not lost the UNCW and LSU games, our NET (currently at 19) would have been in the top10.
Agree that we will be as dangerous a 4/5 seed as can be, but we continue to play our way into 2-3 seeds lower bc of stupid losses.

I think nearly anyone in here would rather be positive about the potential of this team in March but nearly every situation you mentioned where we lost was due to inferior coaching (not fouling UF, horrible lineups vs LSU and just generally not scouting what USC/UT wanted to do against us).
I'm just as giddy as anyone to see how we've performed the last two Saturdays but, if the last 6 seasons are any indication, we're about to lose to a Mountain west 10 seed in the second round with a final score of 59-62 unless something drastic changes with how Cal coaches. Reality vs. expectation, and such. It's entirely possible that Cal pulls a rabbit out of a hat and only plays 7-8 guys the rest of the way and our "ceiling" gets higher.

Today I’m not. Sure I don’t like it in the moment, but right now I don’t care and it doesn’t change a single thing I think they can pull off in a few weeks.
I’ll say it again, no one is going to ruin this for me. We haven’t had a team with a real shot in years and I’m excited about this groups chance to make a run. That won’t change if we lose to MSU next game or anyone else, personally I think we win the next three leading into UT and that game could swing our seeding to a 3/4 seed if we go 4-0 to end the season.

Dude I was pissed Hoyer couldn’t close the deal earlier but this played out perfect.
We need a piece or two in order to push for the playoffs but if Bellinger plays strong I like this group.
