The worst part of this season is that Reed Sheppard - who I assumed would be a 4-year, Tyler Hansbrough-type great-in-college-will-not-be-a-high-drafted-pro is now predicted as the second pick in the draft. Second pick! I'm happy for him and wish him well, but damn, couldn't he at least be a 2-year guy?

I mean, I’m not rooting for us to lose obviously.

Why not? Do you think it makes you a lesser fan (as if that even matters)? That the soft serve ice cream at Rupp just won't hit the same the next time you're at a game?

If we're looking at the next 5 years of Kentucky basketball and trying to actually win championships, which silly me thought that was the whole point of all this hooping around every year, the best thing that can happen tonight is for Ole Miss to roll into Rupp and embarrass us in a 30 point blowout. Sure, the fans who rage would do their usual schtick, stick the TV remote up their ass, talk about what # pour they're on, and embarrass themselves before passing out... but they'd live.

Short term pain for the long term gain.

With Cal, we're stuck in basketball purgatory and are not going to compete for a championship again until he's gone. I'm not even sure he really cares anymore about W's and L's beyond trying to make a run in March for more exposure going into the June draft. The day-to-day actual work? Let's just leave that to my well-paid assistants. The X's and O's? I've been coaching 40 years, what are you talking about? You people are crazy! Here's a link to a book I skimmed through about leadership. Remember to enter discount code "LaFamilia" for 10% off. It's basically like having Rich Paul or Scott Boras as a head coach at this point. I mean, we're the #1 team in the country in field goals made per game and in 3 point %, scoring 90 points a game, with about as good a set up as you can ask for when it comes to sharing the rock and getting open shots, and we still start Justin Edwards, a guy averaging less than 1 assist a game and a 29% three point shooter. A guy who averages less than 1 steal a game, who has 6 total blocks on the season (less than Antonio Reeves and Big Z in his total 57 minutes played this year), and the only guy on the team who isn't 7' that doesn't have a positive assist-to-turnover ratio. And why? Because..? Some dreams are just worth fighting for? It's an embarrassment to the coaching profession. At some point "I can't hide you" became "I can't bench you if you're one of the chosen few."

We've got to hit bottom to ultimately get clean. The worst thing that could happen the rest of this year is we bullshit our way as a 6 or 7 seed into an Elite 8 run, with some OMG he did it again I still believe upset along the way, only to ultimately get put in our place by a better coached team, and the malpractice of the past three months mostly getting swept under the rug and running it back again next year because Coach Belly is still dangerous in March.

Lol just saying man, you are ALL IN and constantly pointing out what could change while the rest of us are like uhhh babe, you’ve cheated 11 straight years, we’re done! While you’re like babe, I don’t know why, but I believe you, stay the night?

Yes this is the exact same.

Edwards has taken the first shot of the game a whole lot of times this year. I’d be willing to bet it’s the most.

It is insane.

-Kanye new album is trash. Today’s rap is trash. The rhymes are terrible, songs barely last 3 minutes. Just low and terrible effort. But that is Gen Z for you.

JFC I’m not reading that shit.

I’m not rooting for us to lose because I’m a Kentucky fan and I like when Kentucky wins.

The problem with consistently starting Edwards is that we have all seen it with our own eyes multiple games where the team didn't start going until Reed and Dilly came in, and Edwards went to the bench. We have seen it over and over and over both in the first half and second.

That might be ok against Vanderbilt, or sisters of the blind, but we cannot continue to fall behind at the beginning of games against decent teams. I honestly believe more than half our losses can be attributed to that.

You would think a guy getting paid 10 milly would know that and realize he has to change something.
Wait, WTF am I saying?

We have to hit rock bottom?

We lost to St Peter’s as the #2
We haven’t won a SEC tourney in years
We haven’t won a SEC title in years.
We have t sniffed a FF in 9 years
We lost 3 in a row at Rupp

This better be rock f’n bottom.
A wise man once said about hitting the low-point of fandom, “you never know if you’ve hit rock bottom, or just pausing to change drill bits.”

Lose at home tonight for a bastardized golden sombrero and again Saturday to a coach whom many would happily welcome on our sidelines and we may just tunnel our way to China before years end.

I might be in the minority on this, but I actually think that the worst part of this season is all the games we're losing.
“For me it’s the hypocrisy”

Rock bottom and ranked 22nd in the country. I mean what are we talking about?

I’ll say this, Jay Williams BS rant yday about BBN calling for Calipari’s job and how big of a mistake that would be is comical.

I have it on good authority that if we lose by 30 tonight and the wheels fall off by seasons end that Mitch is planning on marching right into Cals office and asking some pretty tough questions along the lines of :

“Hey coach what can we do for ya to get this gosh darned thing turned around?”

Cal’s fatass couldn’t even watch a Ricky P practice. He would have a panic attack.

A 5th grade Krazy was taken to an open practice at Freedom Hall and watched a 200 layup drill in like 2 minutes and 100 three pointers in 2 minutes. Numbers seem exaggerated so maybe I’m off, but it was insane to witness as a kid and part of the reason even when I was tired and playing by myself I’d never stop until the parents made me.

It will never be better than that IMO anyway and that wasn’t a banner year.

Let’s get this W tonight and get back to winning!

-Reed- whatever the heck weighted chemistry it seems he’s good at it.

Is there anyway he’d actually want to stick around make a mil or so and keep living the college life? As they say pros are there the rest of your career college is one time? It’s work after college?

I don’t know it would just be something to hold on to for next year if he did.

I’m rooting for this one to run over. Hopefully I don’t get to tune in until our good lineup is in and rallying.
