If I saw UKO I would sneeze flu directly into his face so he'd feel as physically miserable as he is psychologically

Not happy with the last two weeks, but Saturday isn't a reason to hit the "eject" button on the whole damn season. Or on Stoops. C'mon now.

The game plan should have been to minimize any chance to gift them points. Period. Rely on your top10 defense and Crod to grind out a win with 14-17 pts. Running a reverse with that blocking scheme was just a stupid unnecessary risk that was not needed.

Game reminded me of the 2019 game vs So Carolina where every play was a head scratcher.

Top 10 defense couldn't stop them on 3rd and longs, again. Seemed like Valentine was culprit may times. Lack of pass rush may have led to receivers having too much time to get open but he was 2-3 steps behind on a couple of plays.

I'll argue this until I'm blue in the face. Rushing three and dropping 8 into a soft zone "works" when your best player is a 3 star from Georgia. We got Jimmy's but still utilize some legitimately bad X's and O's in those situations.

Do we get the top blown off a lot? Absolutely not. But we give up an egregious amount of 3rd and 7's because the QB gets 8 seconds of a clean pocket to pick us apart. Can't happen.

What's worse is that when we actually blitz, we secured a turnover. Just baffling gameplanning.

I can't tell you how irritated it makes me that UT is "back" after 2 years of implementing an offensive scheme that basically seems like they just sprint to ball and snap it as fast as possible, then every eligible receiver runs a go route and they just chuck it downfield to one of them. And it works. I don't know how, but it f'ing works. It makes this little bump in the road that much more depressing tbh.

You know what’s overrated? The “pro style offense”, that’s what.

I know next to nothing about offensive line schemes but it seems to me that our OL just flat whiffs on assignments at a higher than average rate. They look confused at lot. Maybe stop assuming 20 year old 3 stars can take on the same responsibilities as 26 year old pros.

Our pro style offense has looked like mostly garbage all year save for the incredible efforts of Levis, Crod, and some talented WR’s.

Is it a prerequisite of the pro style offense to run down the play clock under 3 seconds every effing time you snap it?

Maddening.

You can call the same shit and at least have a sense of urgency when you do, right? Our 'tempo' is hard to sit through.

We trotted out there all nonchalant and ran plays like we were up 2+ TD's all night.
That's Stoops through and through.

I see UKO went back for a drink of the Camp Lejeune water his momma fed him while she sucked every Marine on the base. “Acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree” definitely applies here.

It's actually pretty simple. Spread and tempo, with a mobile quarterback and quick WRs, has been kryptonite for CFB defenses forever.

TBH, our offense would be 10x better if we mirrored UT's scheme. Sure as shit would minimize the stress on our OL.

They must have been confident we were good enough to play vanilla and without like 5 opening day starters and still win. Because that's what happened.
I feel like we could have if we actually stuck to that plan. The multi-stage development of the double reverse fumble behind our weak line for the first play of the game was beyond ignorant. We spotted them 10 pts in the first half with that and another missed field goal. The blocked punt didnt' help either.

By the time the second half rolled around, USC thought they could play and the defense quit because the offense and special teams looked like garbage. Then we got embarrassed and Scangarello pooped his diaper. I think our coaches got cocky and it bled over to the team. USC was jacked because of the shots Stoops took at Beamer, and we were half asleep.

- It’s just a very fine line between good and mediocre in a conference that routinely has 10-12 of the most talented rosters and staffs in the country. Examples all over the place. Look at us. Look at A&M. It’s as few as a dozen plays a year for a program like us climbing that hill.

- I’ll never understand why people believe renaming a football game the “Red River Showdown” instead of “Shootout” benefits anything or anyone.

- Saw a bunch of high school Homecoming photos on social. Always thought it, not Prom, was the best high school dance.

I just hope Mark gave Rich an earful for that. That’s the sort of thing an opposing coach from up north would try to pull on Mark’s historically great defense, and Stoops would smirk and tell that mfer to “bring it on”.

WAKE UP RICH YOU DUMB MFER.

The worst part is, and I have no idea if it’s true, but the guys in the booth, plus Cole Cubelic, seemed to know that a large number of our plays were scripted.

So, that stupid mfer sat there for an entire week like “they will never expect THIS!!”.

Washed away my football anger yesterday during our golf cart poker run.

Now, I feel like 💯 human dog shit.

If I may switch gears for a second from Football misery.

Completely understand Kentucky Basketball is terrible, it's not cool to enjoy or be excited, Cal sucks, St. Peters, etc.

But our Pro Day #s as a whole are really incredible for a college squad.

...throw in a 42" vert for Wallace? Yikes. With his Linebacker frame? That caught me a bit off guard, npi

And all the "other" guys had some exceptional #s as well. Still maintain Thiero is gonna end up being one of the best finds we've had, in time.

This team flat has some dudes. Pray for health, b/c we're gonna be nasty otherwise.

Eh. Jones is a stud. Everyone knows that.

Without him (& Flax), but WITH Levis, we win that game with relative ease, even with sacks, turnovers, penalties, and general ugliness.

Any other opinion is cute bullshit. Acting like Levis = Jones/Flax as far as impact to THIS team is utter nonsense & seriously absurd, FOH.

*yes, we still SHOULD have won.

Leadership… Jones was leading tackler. Prolly still is. Makes calls.

Square is the longest tenured captain we've had here in this era.

We have other “leadership” & proven dudes on defense as well.

We have zero under center after Will. Kinda important

We are hopeless (for our expectations this season) without him. Period.

Dumb post

Also Jeremy Flax sucks. People tend to forget this.

Dude getting blown up against Florida was unreal in a very bad way.

* It isn't crazy to think that eventually Thiero could be as good an NBA prospect as Livingston, imo. It won't be this year but if Thiero grows another two inches and gets his jumper in order, he has lottery potential.

Seems like a lot of folx around here are getting pretty aggressive with the name calling and internet bullying. I’ve put in a formal request via petition to change the name of this site away from the violent, partisan “Cats Illustrated,” or “CatPaw,” to the more welcoming, equitable, inclusive “Feline Illustrated.”

Please respect my decision.

No shit we win with Levis. Last I said so, was told that the next Stephen Johnson would emerge.

It became evident without Jones, however, the defense was mediocre at best. Even with the plethora of remaining leaders and longest tenured captain.

Woulda been nice to see CRod get Moe/JoJo levels of carries too.
