At Greenbrier for the weekend with the Lass and lil lassies. Place is magical this time of year. I feel like a kid again.

Babysitter is coming at 8:00 after story-time with Santa in the main lobby fireside. Then it’s dinner at Prime 44 Steakhouse followed by the casina.
If you happen to drink any coffee or tea while there, it came from yours truly.

Wynn, my only grievance is you slacking on drunken Friday night posts.
That bit jumped the shark. But it was fun while it lasted.

Also, several weeks ago I decided to quit drinking (permanently). So, the necessary inspiration for said posts has evaporated into the ether.

I now spend my free time eating edibles and reading Arthurian mythology/fantasy.

Just about cut out the spirits as well. Occasional Mich Light while on the mower or a glass of scotch every few months. But about it these days. Interesting to hear from friends my age (mid 40's) that have gone down this path as well, lot more than I would have guessed. Now the other, well its a daily thing. Sucks having to fly out west to stock up every 4-6 months though.

Bruce Pearl absolutely hammered with a 2-game suspension. The NCAA literally just whipped his ass then dangled they’re nuts in his face. An absolute Death Sentence.

The K, the paw stickers. Not too much to ask for.

I too am pretty sure I’ve had my last drink, coincidentally enough. I quit a few things since my “spell”. So far, I’m good with it, just herbals nowadays.

Im with pretzel on this one, if it’s legal to buy or not prescribed by a doctor (minus creatine, protein, MAYBE aminos) it’s a waste of money.

Speaking of, @pretzel__logic have you ever said your opinion on aminos? I’m curious what a power lifter thinks.

-G is falling down on every shot at BB practice, "trying to get a 3pt point play." Working that out in about 15 minutes when he gets home. Knew I shouldn't have got him Lebron's.

-Ruby's lunch and a 2 hour nap. Mid-afternoon hangie.

-I am not quitting the sauce but staying true to my 3 weekdays minimum sober requirement.

-I dropped protien powder for the time being, was giving me terrible gas. Haven't noticed any drop off at all. Been using Liquid IV trying to drop my pre-workout as well. Need to probably grab some plain creatine but I'm the only one all natty around here. Posers. Probably outlift you juicers too.

-12 remaining top 30 games on the schedule. Let's get that.

-Been a long time but I don't recall Pearl doing much in that whole case. I thought it was his assistant, who narrowly escaped jail time, right?

-Good luck, Wynn.

-I'm not hating on nurses. Tough job, and they get it from all directions. Too bad the powers did everything they could to run them off. Weird we're having these issues in mainly female dominant fields. Wonder why that is?

-Tried another podcast frequently advertised product, 4Sigmatic, mushroom coffee. Tastes pretty good, but can't tell a difference with focus, which is the selling point.

-Good massage is hard to beat. Especially with back issues. Mid back had been killing me all week and none of the normal tricks working. Masseuse finds the spot in like 30 seconds and just goes to town. Almost had me in tears. Next day, good as new. Magical.

-Drake/Kanye concert was awesome.

I’ll allow a daily pop/pour the last three quarters of December.

Let’s not act like these F’ers quitting the sauce are pious and getting their act together. They’re just turning to drugs. Apparently DARE classes weren’t given in Kenton and Fayette counties.

Two weeks after DARE this jabroni in my class brought a switchblade to school and got suspended. While he was suspended, the rest of us got the “I’m so disappointed in you” speech from a cop. Thanks, dick.

I don't detest "teachers",

I just detest forced and over-regulated public education.

I DO detest IT workers. The most miserably awful people on the face of the earth. They should live in a compound, away from the rest of society, and only brought out when someone can't load a printer, connect to the wireless, etc. They can do MOST of that remotely, but that requires that you TALK to them, which is a day wrecker.

My IT help desk experience at work is without fail:

1. 30 minutes with someone fumbling around cluelessly before;

2. OK, I’m going to transfer you to someone who is more familiar (the word “escalate” is usually used). Give me your number in case we lose connection.

So you can literally poison yourself every day but we’re the dummies? If they introduced alcohol today it would be banned quicker than anything. Got nothing against it just don’t be running down my LEGAL flower that grows from the earth and needs nothing to work it’s magic. 😎

Is this why you decided to stop bartending?
Actually no, the bartending was 1st.

After my scare, I stopped drinking, vape pen (that was only when I was drinking anyway so 2-4-1 really), sugar (because my glucose levels were so high that day), cardio, a few different supplements, etc.

I detest religion in schools.

By the way, I am trying to find the Ledford/Hacker broadcast of Pitino's first game as head coach at Kentucky. They played Ohio or Ohio Baptist or some shit.

1st level tech support exists for only ONE thing. To get a call logged. That's it.

If they can make the experience so frustrating that the user just gives up then that's a bonus.

That year that I worked from home, taking level 1 support calls from parents (during NTI) was actually pretty enjoyable. I'd been doing back office networking stuff for so long, that I forgot how nice it is to help somebody, and hear the relief and gratitude in their voice.

I'm going to toot my own horn here, but if somebody's phone call rolled to me, that user hit the jackpot, because I knew every single part of the district inside and out (networking and software).

And if it involved an issue the went beyond just tech support, I had the freedom/liberty to call whomever I needed to (school directors ie. I didn't have to fck around with chain of command)
