The governor has issued a state of emergency for the nursing industry to “allow” nursing programs to take on more students in an attempt fill the voids of jobs.

Maybe stop testing your nurses every other day and requiring a 2-3 week quarantine when they leave the damn state you idiot!

I couldn’t have been happier when my wife quit her nursing job. What a joke!

Babysitter tonight- getting drunk with wife and friends.

Dallas next week for her Christmas party.

San Francisco and over a week off as we come up on Christmas.

Big UK basketball games, the Playoff NYE, etc.

I know Anth wishes it was August all year round but this time of year works for me.

Couldn’t agree more!

Getting swabbed every other day to work 2nd shift part time(coming back from maternity) and we had a family emergency in Jacksonville FL so when we got back she still had to swab every other day and quarantine for 2 weeks.

The final straw was not being allowed to leave when her shift was over if the next nurse wasn’t there yet.

In order to pull that off her employer no longer allowed 12 hour shifts so they could hold someone 4 hours past their shift.

Lucrative?!? LMAO now let me tell you about selling lumber and starting a bourbon co.

There are very standard prescription options to counter TRT-related fertility issues and avoiding full shutdown of natural test production (e.g., HcG). Kind of weird they didn't prescribe that with the T, tbh.
HcG has actually been discontinued in the US. I’m taking Clomid in lieu of HcG.

Yeah it’s definitely great news she left a lucrative industry that’s in incredibly high demand. Thank god.
I love when people say this^. You ever been a nurse, bub? Because it touching sucks. There is almost zero upside to the actual work unless you like seeing people who made poor decisions ultimately die after weeks/months of care. Constantly worried about dotting I’s and crossing T’s so you don’t get sued and lose your license. It’s Groundhog Day half the time depending on your department. In the ICU you might come in for a month straight to the same exact patients in the same exact condition. FUN!!! Also, underpaid as touch.

The vast majority of nurses that I know (and I know dozens of them, thru my old job) HATED it, and wished they'd gone into something else.

The Xmas PJs family pictures were very cute

Going to the van gough thing tonite, will be eating a gummie with my wife immediately when I get home so I can feel good when I’m there, whatever the hell it is

Xmas lights at the zoo tomorrow night

I never have a GD night off but whatever I guess, I have a feeling this decade I shall age about 50 years, at least that’s what it feels like. No down time ever.

-You'll enjoy yourself. Music is great as well.

-having a young family is exhausting. The days are long but the years are short. Soon they won't need you as much which is awesome *and* a little melancholy.

yup, nothing says happy holidays like tornado warnings and boggy 64 degree thundershowers. Hey kids, wanna go look at the lights tonight? Great just gotta make sure we pack a first aid kit and the ponchos! F this. I want my December COLD. 45 and below. my laurels are loving it tho.

made it 1.5 years without any “real” quarantine but we finally got hit with the COVID this week. 2 oldest tested positive. Baby has double ear infection and wife seems like she’s symptomatic. I’m fine and vaxxed (no boost) but still gotta be trapped at home with 4 kids on a 3 week Xmas break high. Gonna try and escape to the office next week pending a negative test. Feel like next week is the official start to the “F it” portion of the work calendar. Don’t wanna miss it. For now working out of my mobile office (1996 Ford ranger splash stepside) in the driveway and pounding Trenta iced coffees.

- Already pretty torn up about my dog someday dying, and she's barely three years old. Just praying it's after the youngest leaves the house.

- Happy to hear that Willy's family had a great time at WDW. Yes, it's expensive and exhausting. But if you let yourself enjoy it, you get so many moments on those trips that it's all worth it. Last night we booked a Spring Break trip to Disneyland out west. Prefer that one to the Florida version, so I'm pretty excited.

- Doctor walked in this morning with a facemask AND a face shield. We still doing that? Goodness, dude.

- Now that I've heard about Rax's family sickness, I feel extra bad about mocking his wife's cinnamon roll travesty on Facebook this week. Wish I'd known, maybe I would have been more subtle about it instead of calling her a murderer.

- Who else had those "Choose Your Own Adventure" books back in the day? Uh-oh, clearly chose the wrong path. Better skip back to page 7 and pretend it didn't happen. Those and "Encyclopedia Brown" were always dependable reads for young KL, as well as Beverly Cleary's books and the Cincinnati Post sports section.

- Pooch is 10, have thought a lot about the inevitable. Going to absolutely crush me.

- Back in the partying days of my 20's nurses I knew were absolutely bonkers on the party scene. Was nothing to see some a plethora of "mind refreshments" being taken and more than a few times capped off with a lil G/G action.

- been out of L'Ville for almost 9 yrs now. Man time flies.

You inability to comprehend anything that goes on in the real world is truly amazing. It's as if you live on a mountain somewhere....oh, wait.

* Took the wife and kids to Disney right after Thanksgiving. I'm not gonna lie, I loved it. Might become an annual tradition. Expensive AF, tho. Paying the extra money for the Genie Plus and Lightning Lane on the last day was well worth it. Laughing at all the suckers actually waiting in line was a GYERO move.

We went to 4 parks in 4 days. The Star Wars rides at Disney's Hollywood Studios are amazing, as was the "Soarin' Around the Word" hang glider simulator ride.

We stayed at the Beach Club Villas which are right next to Epcot.

Highly recommend.

Have a good weekend, GYEROmaniacs.
Did ya get on Flight of Passage? Fantasmic, Frozen singalong? Went about 4 years in a row and loved it each time pre covid….think they pump something in the air.

Something to be said for getting to a vacation destination and not have to get in your/a car until you have to leave.

Any of you supplement people got the skinny on turkesterone? The name sounds equally risky and great. Supposedly, it doesn't create any hormonal issues and puts on muscle. I have a bottle but haven't started taking it yet. Outside of SARMS, pharmaceuticals, and illegals drugs, I'm pretty dismissive of supplements, but this one sounds promising.
