I had Peter Luger's circa 2007 and it was pretty awesome. Still a top 10 meal of my life easily, maybe even top 5.

I liked it better than Keen's, but they were both pretty similar experiences.

Best meal I've ever had is still Del Posto. Too bad that weird ginger in the crocs couldn't keep his hands to himself, because that place was amazing

The 2 best plates of beef I have experienced were Luger’s in NYC and Doe’s in Greenville MS…and about as different a dining experience as you could ever imagine.

-The amount of 'for lease' storefronts and closed businesses was pretty staggering overall...I mean, I saw 2 separate shuttered Starbucks in prime areas that were 'For Lease' -- didn't even know such a thing was possible.

Not any better in midtown/business district, especially w/ major hotel closures in that area as well.

It's a lot fun with a group, but the food is kinda meh for the price point:

Best thing about STK aside from the Gangsta Rap is that they almost *always* have Rib Cap on special.

And LMAO at White Wayne at STK...I mean, of course he hated it. If I had to guess, you probably had a panic attack or something resembling one.

Probably had my best meal there last time in Vegas, but food is typically pretty marginal, and really expensive for what you get. Hell of time though especially with MMharmon or large groups.

Tonight’s NBA lineup is perfect for a rainy, cold dark night.

Watching the wife and kids take down fall decorations and get out Xmas decorations with a smile on my face and a bourbon in my hand.

Love Xmas time and decorations etc, but I really need my spoiled kids to take note on what Xmas is besides presents. This year may be a rude awakening.

Bullitt East vs Male again tonight for district or region, or something. No chance I’m going out in this mess to support the nephew. Poor kid, I hope his dad shows up.

Bernie you should have a blast at the Titans game.

Speaking of the Titans we have a chance to create some seperation, and get a handle on the AFC with a banged up Saints team coming in this week and the Texans next week. Baltimore already lost and we own the tie breaker with Buffalo.

As far as the basketball cats, maybe tonight we establish who is going to be the back to the basket post player we feed consistently. Cal won’t make it the whole season without that guy.

Kids are definitely lame these days. Dave Chappelle is coming to their school (his alma mater) and the students got mad about his last special so the school canceled it. I mean, great they’re using their voice but Dave TOUCHING Chappelle is coming to your school and you get it cancelled? I guess, most of them are too young to enjoy his catalogue but damn, you’re denying yourself of seeing a legend because of your classmate who doesn’t like him. I’d say it’s more to the lack of people’s ability to understand how comedy works and what it actually is. These kids are part of the reason he’s not doing stand up for a while, people are killing comedy. No one can laugh at themself anymore. If it hurts anyone’s “feelings” it should be shut down without question.

This is what happens when some of the kids that were bullied in school grow up and can never seem to get over it and move on with their lives. They go into government/education and start looking for some payback. (overly simplified? maybe. But not really)

Everything is a slight/personal.

I had a lovely time at STK last night. I liked the music. I liked that Lamar was getting shut down on the TV inside our room. I liked the attractive hostesses. I liked the Caymus Cabs. I liked the food. It was all good.

But it wasn’t that much different than other high end steakhouses. There was nothing special on the menu (see B&B Butcher’s menu to know what I mean). And the atmosphere wasn’t as good as Ruby’s. Frankly, it reminded me of the new Malone’s in Louisville.

We did have a big group, so that was cool. But like 40% of us were of Indian decent and most of them didn’t eat meat. I guess that kept the price down. I do like when some of them come over to the dark side and just crush some steak.

Was there anything more demoralizing in junior High/HS than running late to class in the hallway and someone yelling “Run Forrest Run!” at you?

Really, desperately need to see a Kentucky basketball team beat the piss out of someone. Make it happen boys

I always wait until the first real cold weekend of the year to pop open the Great Lakes Xmas ale. Just opened my first.

Officially old fashioned/Manhattan season. The woodford double Oaked will be flowing tonight. Time to put the tequila away. Happy Friday GYERO

From 2002-2006 the TV’s in the dining hall and student union building were tuned into 3 things.

I actually caught a few minutes of Days this week in the hotel. First time since college, and before that at home with mom

Lucas, Sammy, Marlena, Billie, Bo all doing the exact same shit. That show, and Salem, is truly something else man. Just comical - you could legit take a 20 year break and not miss a beat.

It’s been that way since somewhere around 1986, at least in my experience
