Half of federal inmates are in for drug offenses. It’s much less at the state level, where the majority of those people haven’t even been convicted.

Federal inmates represent 10% of the entire incarcerated population. And the feds aren't busting poor people for petty drug crimes. They're going after players and associates in the big time drug trade.

And then they send the US Army to Afghanistan to control the opium plants.

Or hire Manuel Noriega during the cocaine boom, which started the war on drugs.

So Wayne, what’s your point about big time players in the drug trade?

Man

Hard pass, bub.

We killed bin Laden and jailed Noriega. So we put those players in the drug trade in jail too.

My MIL had her hip replaced at 9AM and was at home at 2PM. It’s unreal the advances in orthopedic surgery in just the last 5 years. That used to be a major 2 weeks in the hospital surgery and now it’s a 2 hour outpatient procedure.

When I was 8, I had my foot crushed pretty badly. I was in the Owensboro hospital for 26 days before they let me go home. That same injury today is maybe an overnight stay at best. Of course back then they let us race wheelchairs down the hallways on the kids floor, and my chain smoking uncle would fire up a heater the moment he'd enter my room and use the the leftover pill cups as his ashtray.

The 1970's were every bit as awesome as you'd imagine save for Watergate, Iran, and the Carter administration.

They need to remove the U, but still a solid lid

I did buy this last week.

Why can't UK take that logo, put it in white, and put it on a regular ass blue hat. I had one of those a few years ago and lost it on a camping trip. Now you can't find anything on a regular hat beside the UH and birds f***ing logos.

UK fans should have a class action lawsuit against Nike for the wackass UK gear they put out.

Great, thorough, 7,000 word breakdown of the Aaron Rodgers fiasco:

On the second violation I believe the media sentences him to 9 years hard labor in a Russian gulag.
So shocked you’re defending a selfish POS.

His fiancé is a super woke into every cause Hollywood lib so him being unvaxxed is the upset of the decade.

It seems that the media is more pissed now that he hasn't been wearing a mask.

My guess is that he has already had covid and didn't want to get vaxxed.

- Big Blue due for a big sports week/weekend. I think we take Tennessee in a tight one. I have no clue what to think about Tuesday. How could anyone really. Duke should have issues shooting this year but appear strong inside.

- Speaking of media narratives, I don’t want to hear this “you’re punishing kids who had nothing to do with it!” bullshit about Oklahoma State players. First off, it’s been well known this was coming for awhile. These guys chose to go there. Secondly, how else are you to punish college sports cheating? Louisville and Kansas are going to get fried. Can’t wait. 🙏

- I don’t often push the robust catalog of Celine Dion in here, but I’ve always liked “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.”

- Agree with the consensus on the cap but man I miss a good arched KENTUCKY.

- Single dad this week. Wife’s in Scottsdale for work. It’s a complete pain in the ass but I have plenty of help from her grandparents. How single mothers, especially young ones, do this is beyond me. Utmost respect.

- Had my MIL’s butternut squash soup for dinner and my gawd it was delicious. Outstanding autumn dish.

- Shorter hospital stays - it’s robotics. Smaller, more targeted incisions. Less tissue damage and blood loss. Hip, shoulder and knee replacements are easy peezy. Just wish Willy would get a personality replacement too. Boom. Clowned ya. 🤡

I’m pretty sure any guy has the right to do whatever he wants to himself even if it affects his job and vice versa. I mean hell, I worked with pneumonia and bronchitis for at least two weeks telling everyone there my chest hurt, felt like I was being squeezed and I couldn’t catch my breath. They said, get a covid test, came back negative and they said get back to work. It wasn’t til I finally went to my primary I found out. So they obviously didn’t give a shit about me, so I don’t really give a shit about them.

If he’s cool with losing 1.4 million Sunday then you should be too. Drunk driving at 156 mph is being a selfish piece of shit.

When murderers get out because they have money but poor people who got caught with drugs are locked up, that is seriously F’d up.

Poor people who get caught w/ drugs aren't going to the pen, unless you are talking $$$ worth of stuff.....you do realize that, right? And "drug offenses"....are you talking a dime bag or 10 bricks of coke, or meth, that finds its way to the streets, to kids, etc.

Your rant is way too general, and pretty much pointless given how you presented it.

Short summary:
Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for Covid. He’ll be back in 2 weeks.

Sitting on the couch last night watching KY Afield when I start hearing some lady screaming hysterically out front. It sounded like she was in serious trouble so I go to see what's happening and she's a few houses down at that point with no visible threat in the vicinity. She was walking strange and whatever she was saying was unintelligible, so I figure it was probably drugs but she could have just gotten her ass whipped too.

I determined she wasn't in imminent danger so I figure I'll just call the police. They never did answer. Let it ring nearly 20 times.

Moral of the story, be prepared to protect yourself because every social provision we've grown used to seems to be unraveling.

My friend has a protective order against his neighbor because the guy tried to kick his door in at midnight. On Fourth of July weekend, the neighbor was in my friend's yard acting erratic.

He called three times and no answer. When he called again the next morning, 911 said they were really busy the night before.

Lexington!

Imagine calling 911 and telling them your name was “Jerome.” Guarantee they’d get scared of your neighborhood and hang up.

- @Willy, my uncle got bilateral hip replacements in the space of six weeks a couple years ago, and he's aged in reverse since. Orthopedics has come a really long way and can be an enormous boost in quality of life. (I think he went to OrthoCincy, fwiw, although NKY/Cincy is loaded with really good orthos so you definitely have options.)

- I thought surely Ruggs just posted 150k because a percentage would be less appalling, but no, the judge really set the bond that low for a) killing someone b) severely injuring his passenger and c) having a gun in the car. I know nothing about bail in Vegas, maybe they have weird rules; but a DUI fatality with multiple aggravators and a defendant with deep pockets has to be good for at least half a mil, even if they don't have significant history. Absurd.

I want to know how the hell he and his gf weren't killed instantly. They were going way faster than Terence Clarke (although I know he didn't have his seatbelt on correctly) for instance, and it appears Ruggs didn't swerve away at all. Everything about the story is just awful.

- As I've said previously, I want the University of Tennessee to be vaporized into a pile of ashes. I hope Mark Stoops has similar hate in his heart, and that this hate doesn't cloud his gameplanning decisions. Beat. The. Vols.

- Thank the Lord that Saturday is fall back day, because apparently I'm going to GameDay at UC before we head to Lexington. (I will be wearing my Kentucky gear, obviously.) That's a long day for this old lady, especially since I compete again the following Saturday. So, again: **** the Vols, smd, let us pray.
