That Stoops confused and fat look reared its head tonight. Hes ours and Im happy for it but he does shit himself often.

You just can’t play zone, a soft zone at that, play after play after play........

Zone in football truly only works when mixed in with blitzes and some man in order to confuse the QB into a bad read and mistakes.

If you are just 100% zone any college QB can hit windows and throw the ball where players are going vs hitting them in stride against a man defense.

It’s just amazing to me that a coach of Stoops caliber would even consider what we just ran and NEVER came out of it.

That was something to see!

They had the ball for nearly 3 quarters of the game doing the exact same thing over and over and over and over again and we never made defensive adjustments. Just kept doing the exact same thing because it worked last year.

That’s the most aggravating part.

Playing zone also doesn’t mean you drop back and stand there like a cigar store Indian. Two or three times Dsquare dropped back and
Let guys run across his face to catch balls. He sucked tonight, as did Dort, Geiger.

To make up for the lack of QB pressure, we tackled even worse.

that shithole has Piglet bamboozled.

Now that I’ve calmed down, and just re-read the in-game thread.

A Latin phrase which has guided me in life, and which in fact our entire republic is founded upon, is instructive:

virtus in media stat

In the middle stands truth.

On the one hand, we shit the bed in a very winnable game which would have kept us on track for the most significant bowl game since our national championship. A huge, and devastating, opportunity wasted.

On the other, we are still a very good team with a very credible chance to go 10–2 and beat Michigan’s ass in the Citrus Bowl. Those are heights none (or few) of us have ever seen.

Both are true. Feel as you may, somewhere in the middle perhaps. But the “piglet” comments are unwarranted. As are the “we’re fine” comments. Be reasonable, friends.

You don’t like a Top 15-20 ranked Kentucky football team going into November? You and I obviously come from different world, brother.

If you think we’ll be 15-20 on Sunday
/Monday you’re a buffoon

I’d be happy with 23-25.

Agree otherwise, as mentioned earlier.

But Part of becoming/being legit is not excusing or marginalizing absolute disasters - as this clearly was.

1. I’ll “fan” however I want to “fan.” If I want to be an unreasonable assjack that’s my right. You fan your way, I’ll fan mine. I don’t get to behave like this in “real life,” so this is my conduit for the unhealthy emotions UK football annually brings upon me. You don’t like it? KMA.

2. I hate UT and UL passionately; it’s unhealthy. To allow either one of those two teams or BOTH of them to beat us in our BEST SEASON EVER will be too much to bear for my prideful ass. After watching last night’s debacle, these fears are beginning to manifest into a possible reality.

3. I don’t behave like this in public. That’s what this thread is for. Healthy balance, I guess.

4. The program is in good shape for UK football standards. Stoops and staff are fine. I want to take that next step to the Elite level like all of you guys, but it’s just too difficult in this landscape. I want to enjoy the ride, but there is always *that* game in the middle of the season that makes you pause and remember you’re a UK football fan.

Then you become disappointed that you ever dreamed those dreams because you know you should have tempered expectation. And then you’re disappointed in yourself for tempering those expectations because you lack faith and then it all starts back over again.

5. You don’t like any of what I said, shut up. I’ll slap you to sleep.

Feel like I’ve watched this game in Starkville 20x in my life.

Last night just proved that we still aren't above laying a f'ing egg. We were horrible on all fronts. Only two things pleased me, the Ali punt return and Harris catching a few passes, one for a score.

Other than that it was a complete shit show. Rodriguez and Levis are ticking turnovers. Levis is either outstanding or worst QB ever. There's not much in between.

We got manhandled last night. Miss St literally did whatever they wanted. Leach made Stoops look foolish. I can only hope the embarrassment of this putrid performance will be a wake up call. I have my doubts.
