This Zoom/Teams/Skype shit means that it is ever harder to get a good solid adult snow day even if the conditions turn out to be as biblical as predicted tonight. Please tell King Andy he's a f***face for letting this pandemic shit persist ten months too long, Chad.

Anybody watch this Hotel Cecil thing on Netflix? My wife and I are thinking about giving it a watch after we send our kids to their rooms in a murderous rage after bankrupting them in Monopoly.
At the risk of getting anth started I feel the need to say that it’s absolute bullsh** that kids won’t be getting snow days this week because of virtual learning. Most places are going to be getting out of school mid-May right now so what is it going to hurt to take some days off from virtual learning and go until June when kids will actually be in person?

Tomorrow is already a no school day because it’s Presidents’ Day and then Tuesday is a diocese holiday/in-service of some sort (it’s essentially winter break). Work, on the other hand, is really busy for me this week regardless of snow... like Hank said, zooms will still happen. We have two big cold call contest days on Wednesday and Thursday. Yay. 😑
I’ve put my eggs in the March basket before, and it will let you down. To do this with UK having no shot of making The Dance is even more of a risky move imo.

Anth’s Sunday dinner rituals amaze me. By Sunday night at 8:00 I want to be in my bed watching television and getting ready to crash early for the new week ahead, especially in the winter.
Like, I really like my neighbor. Cool fella and we’ll hang out from time to time. He could call me on a Sunday and say he has Ruby’s catered and scored some Pappy 23 year so roll on over and I’d honestly pass. Just no desire on a Sunday night to be social.

- I've come to enjoy the early afternoon Sunday buzz more than about any other day to imbibe not named Saturday. You have to be sensible about it, can't come out of the gate too fast and need to have an exit strategy that involves an opulent meal and hard cutoff time. But completely putting a lid on Sunday boozing is blasphemy, in my book.
Hell in the summer it's even better when you can post-up poolside, golf or grill out. Can't imagine sitting around all day Sunday without a cocktail on days like that.
Maybe some of you need to learn how to simply enjoy a few adult beverages without turning it into a bender.

If your folks are still around, make time for them. Even if they're hours / states away, do what you can to connect. This past year should have taught us life is too precious to take for granted.
- I keep seeing all kinds of people not only in here but at work or in personal life keep saying, "just wait until March!" I don't know what some of you are expecting but nothing is going to magically change in two weeks. Or in April. Or May. I'd say you haven't been paying attention if you insist otherwise.

Lol, exactly. I'm not going to run around airports and local businesses without my mask on, buffalo horns on my head, and a don't tread on me flag tied on as a cape. Spring is my favorite season, by far. That along with vaccines and 1 year mark are the reason for March 1.
For the last year, we've made most decisions based on covid. Vacations, several jabs up my nose for tests, dinners, uber, gatherings, Derby, birthday parties, holidays, little league games, school. I'm basically over that part of our life. At this point, IMO, our mental health is a far greater risk than covid. That's not just me, that's all of us under 65. Those over 65 will primarily be done with(or at least offered) the poke by then. So I feel 1 year of my life is enough, we've done the best we could to respect the people at risk around us, and I'm not waiting on these idiots in charge to jump off the merry-go-round. If they want to 4 mask it until 22, have at it.

It probably makes me a bad person but I’m looking forward to getting back to normal just so recruits can take visits and get normal crowds back at games. That’s my main concern.
