It's been said many times. Cal has always been at his best when he has a nemesis. Someone who he can hate and try to crush. When Rick left it took his edge and he's been looking for a new nemesis ever since.

He has his new nemesis. Something to subdue and defeat. It's us. He wants the fan base under his thumb.

Nate Oats or Kelvin Sampson

Think that's my list.

Houston 21st on O in KenPom, 4th in D

He got railroaded at IU and what he got in trouble for is no longer illegal.

Anyone have the Cal comment oh about 6/7 years ago? The one about coaching at Kentucky and the demands which come with it?

He mentioned a specific number of years one could take coaching here.

Maybe he was right?

I felt lucky to be out coaching youth soccer players this evening rather than viewing programming featuring manifestations of Cal's delusions.

Instead of piling on Coach Cal who deserves all of the criticism he is getting, do you mind if I point out what a bunch of shitty pussies we have wearing our beloved checkerboards this year?

How about not handing the ball to the other team when you face a bit of pressure? How about getting a 50/50 ball or 2? How about making a pressure FT?

Even our homegrown Pendleton Co. savior was a flaming turd floating down 12 Mile Creek tonight.

Did nothing on offense. Every time his man got the ball, they simply drove to the basket with little to no resistance and if they missed the shot, it didn’t matter because he would stand and watch someone else dart around him for a rebound. And he wasn’t nearly the worst.

Askew was absolutely unplayable. Mintz ain’t a PG. Sarr is lazy 1 out of every 3 possessions, like the one where he didn’t pay attention and they scored a layup to pull within 1.

Jackson did some good things, but then spiked the ball out of bounds with :04 left. Hell, he could’ve grabbed that ball. Then he lost his man and let him score the winning layup.

This team has zero basketball IQ. They have zero balls.

Their putrid play isn’t all Cal’s fault. The things you can usually count on his teams to do, this team doesn’t.

But he’s the idiot who put this team together and I’ll be damned if he is going to get to blame the fans and media for this. F*ck that. You don’t get to be a smarter than thou dickhead, you jagoff. This pile of underachieving, over pampered, over their heads, deer in the headlights, backing down from a fight pansies is his responsibility.

What a bunch of assholes. All of them.

From this point on, STFU and fix them. Get off the Twitter. Get in the film room. Get on the court. Run these entitled little bitches until they puke. Shut up, John. And fix this.

I just wanted to point out that the effing players get all the blame they can take, too. I mean, I don’t want to break their hearts or anything, but damn. Enough is enough.

But once you start venting about this abortion of a season, you can’t not take a shot at Cal right now.

Especially with the bullshit smug comments and tweets.

All we are missing is Kayleigh McEnany coming out and saying we really beat Georgia in a landslide.

Randoms:

-Dontaie Allen is a bit like a shorter Kyle Wiltjer. Has a nice outside shot but is slow-footed. Should make for a nice college player by his jr/sr years, but is limited athletically compared to many others.

-I now know why Cal doesn't like to use all the scholarships, and why he seems to prefer teams that have a clear six or seven player rotation: He seems to get confused in the game when he has to make too many substitution decisions where it's not clear-cut who should be playing. Even with the 2014-2015 team, he had the "platoon" system that kept it simple for him in terms of substitutions. When he has multiple players at similar positions, none of whom are clearly better and deserving of the playing time, he doesn't know what to do.

-Before the season, Cal (and of course KSR) were *hyped* about this team, its length, and its potential. He completely misread their ability. It's one thing for fans and fansites to be overly optimistic, but it's odd to me when the coach seemingly way overestimated his team's ability.

-Remember when Cal used to talk about catching UCLA and when he would talk about wanting to have an undefeated season before he retired? He hasn't mentioned either one in a few years.

The fans wanted me to play the analytics. I did and look what happened. Guess the fans don't know everything. Sad.

Might help the players a bit more if they actually played enough minutes together to get a good feel for how to manage in game pressure. As someone said, cals just pulling names from a hay and dealing with the repercussions later.

As much as I want Dontae to succeed, I watch him constantly take a pass at the top of the arc... immediately give it up to Askew and run to the corner and stand there still for 15 seconds of the possession.

I mean, Reggie Miller-it up a little and run around off screens and shit. Break a sweat FFS cause your going to ride the bench in two minutes anyway.

Plus that fling at the backboard should’ve docked him any time remaining in January. That shit was more weird than pitiful.

Just when there wasn’t a sexy bitch to fantasize about, in walks a sultry Nate Oates.

At this point I'd like to see us go 5 Out every possession and get up as many shots as we can. No more than 2 passes. Otherwise it will be a turnover or shot clock violation(those irk me the most).

Seriously....... get up 100+ shots a game and play decent D. Use that Alabama shot chart as a guide. Shooting will eventually come around playing like that. IMO.
