To my knowledge, there's not a single person calling for abolishment of the National Anthem, nor should they. But by all means, please keep inventing Boogeymen to get yourself all fired up.
Maybe we could let every state pick the song that is played before its home sporting events. Kentucky's would probably be "Follow You to Virgie", I'm guessing.
The national anthem at the Bud Dupree interception win over USC was memorable. Shewee. Brisk night in the Bluegrass. Packed house. A battered BBN.

I do support and want to preserve the structure of our republic / the idea of checks and balances etc — but if you think about it - it IS kind of weirdly overkill and oddly matched to perform that observance before such a wide range of sorting events
