Hey man, Dontaie finally figured out how to play defense. Cal's real proud of the kid.
I would like the playoff to expand to eight to get some more Group of 5 teams in there. They don’t have the same dominating programs, so it would be fun to see a variety of their teams get absolutely smoked by the big boys in a “tune up” round every year.
I have an idea. How about some schools get their shit together and beat Bama, Clemson and Ohio State. This mealy mouth, “boy, I sure diggedly do hope that another team gets a chance to play in the finals” is weak.
I haven't watched a full game outside UK all season...but got hooked watching Bama/Auburn for my first Saturday b/c it was just breakneck pace old school fun.
9pm sucks as always, but this one should at least be entertaining. Bama is good, and very aggressive on offense. Primo looked really good, and Petty/Jones and the core of that team have been around forever.
Watching John Petty I couldn't help but think his career could be what we see from Allen. Similar players at 6'6'ish & limited athletes compared to most of their peers. That dude has averaged 30 minutes a game and 12ppg for 4 consecutive years now -- always has to be accounted for, and GOES OFF several times per season.
I think Allen can be better, b/c Petty has virtually been the same player since Day 1, but I'd sign up for that right now.
Pumped for tonight - this one can really set the table for a legit SEC run.

As an outside observer here, that's not really the best way to convince someone you're independent/middle of the road. These "team politics" which are in full display over in the political thread (where everyone is either a "lib" or a "pub" - no middle ground) are the biggest problem with our politics these days.
