Cal couldn't be more impressed with the job Rick Ray is doing down there. Those guys always play hard and are really in sync.

I've had this game circled all year as the one we'll probably lose, and Cal pretty much confirmed why today.

JRow has mentioned he was the staff's top choice for months now

Also, Boston College had a top 15 rushing offense last year. Of course, the kid isn't even a senior in high school yet so his offer sheet is not as full as it would/will be. Happens every year. Not sure why this surprises so many people. Not saying the kid will blow up to a 5*, but he will get "bigger" offers.

And Baker is on the outside looking in. His leader is Marshall now, and that is probably where he will end up. Decommitting was the worst thing he could have done. TS

BC and Iowa aren't sexy programs to beat out for a recruit, but at least they're perennial bowl teams from power conferences. Better than when we used to beat out MAC schools and bottom-feeder BCS programs for kids.

Really love that it's already a foregone conclusion that Kentucky is getting the strongest 2 seed. I just do not understand how the committee can favor geographic preference over competitive balance of the regions. Really just does not make sense. Teams aren't taking a horse and buggy to the games.

I'd be super pissed if I was the best 2 seed.

Headed out to Florida with the lass for our first "real" vacation since the twins were born a year and a half ago. Flying out of the Jurich Empire next Wed morning. I have plenty of friends and fam we could stay with but this is a vacation so I was thinking of getting a hotel room, also hoping there was a decent hotel I could stay at that would allow us to park our car while we were gone (I know Nashville has a few hotels that provide that accommodation). Any suggestions? Might even take her out of a belated V-day dinner that night. So...hotel and dinner recs would be appreciated.

Feel free to park your car at my house...it's right next to the airport. Be glad to drop you off or whatever, if not, it's a 5 minute/$6 cab.

I would guess the airport hotels would probably offer some kind of parking deal as well, but not sure.

^ seems like the same thing in Cincy (typical) based on our experience a few weeks ago. Pretty sure Mahmoud or whatever just stepped off the plane/boat & got his driver's license a few days before. Guy was clueless, didn't even know how to get downtown.

Exactly what I've been saying. We want 3 of the 4 teams that potentially could beat us on the 1 line so they at least we're talking F4. Send Wisconsin and Zona west together and with Duke and UVA and then roll the ball out there. You'd have to think if Wisconsin runs the table they get that 4th #1 regardless and take the zags. Then I would hope Zona goes to Houston. Gives us kansas and nova goes east.
