Re: GYER24-0
-WCS is never going to go MKG/Davis hard for 40 minutes. Just not in his DNA but he's getting better about when to turn it on.
-100% agree. Talked about this earlier in the year but we struggled every game that #2 put up a ton of shots. He seems to be playing more within himself and picking those shots better. Just don't need him putting up 15+ a game.
-With the D it's mostly focus although some of it is the other teams picking at our limited weaknesses the only way they can. We're athletic, long and smart enough to adapt to the screens. Like everything else that's been thrown at us, it only works for a couple games until the guys adjust. D is also much different than FT shooting. We saw they can pretty much turn it on when they really need to. I had 100% confidence that LSU wasn't getting the look they wanted last night after we took the lead. They may have hit a crazy shot but they weren't getting a good look. They didn't even have the option to look for Mickey. Hell we shot clocked them in an end of game situation. The D is there, you just can't expect it to be running at 100% for the entire season.
-We'll see plenty of LaChance the next 3.25 years. By then I'm sure e'll be sick of it.Originally posted by wildcat1973:
The Bruce Hornsby 3 was the classic white honk 3. Off balance, coming off the screen, leg kick, wrist flick. Need more of that in college basketball.
Vitale is absolutely right about Cauley-Stein. If he ever would "turn it on" for an entire game, he'd be unstoppable and put up massive numbers. But he's improved so much since he got to UK, it's hard to complain.
Aaron Harrison (refuse to call him just "Aaron") needs to put up double digits every game down the stretch. When he doesn't score much, it changes the complexion of the game. We perform best when he's in that 13 PPG range.
