Great Beer....the sequel

In

What a great post! I just came here to post that I had a Wiehenstephaner Hefe Wiesbier with some bone-in chicken wings for dinner. It was like drinking a glass of orange juice and it was FABULOUS. I love that some places have a single beer case where you can try different beers without committing to a six pack. That's how I tried this one. First Bavarian I've had! Loved it!
Get on some hefe's. Fantastic beers. I've never had a bad one. Easily drinkable year round especially during these hot months. They're my go to beers for the most part.

Same here. Wheats and Hefeweizen's are my favorite in the summer. My favorite for winter is the Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Milk Stout out of San Diego. Crazy good.

Founders KBS Hazelnut. Found this KBS variant and it's the only one I haven't had. GREAT stout here. 12%er and is an awesome cold weather sipper. Yeah, I know it's summer but I can't pass up a great beer.

I believe there is one in my beer fridge. You are tempting me.

Just had a Paulaner Hefe. Delecious! Very drinkable with dinner.

Looked just like and tasted similar to Wiehanstapher but had that good peppery taste. Loved it !

What kind of beer is Paulaner Hefeweizen?

Hefe-Weizen | Paulaner Brauerei München

wheat beer

It's the #1 wheat beer in Germany and one of the world's favorites. In fact, beer experts call it a masterpiece.

A secretary once bought me an international beer box that had this beer in it. It has been in my beer fridge for over 5 years. Now, I do not mind drinking high gravity beers years after they were bottled, but … maybe I should toss it?

Currently in Haverhill, MA visiting an old Army buddy.

This stuff is amazing. Piney. Well blended. Kick-ass. One can also purchase Samuel Adams brews I'd never noted down in TX.

Very good. Love that whale! A friend brought me back a few bottles a few years ago. Now, a pizza joint in Louisville often has it on tap. Better on tap!!

Goose Island IPA. Modestly hoppy. Nice crisp beer. Great one to chug after mowing the grass this summer.
A lot of folks crap on Goose Island ever since they sold out to Inbev, but they make good beers. I've been getting Bourbon County Stouts in various years for $12 at my local store. They have 2018-2023 in the cooler so I've been grabbing the oldest ones. One of the best Stouts ever made. I don't think that store knows what they have. I'm not gonna tell them about it either.

How do you post a picture from your phone or is it too hard?
Good question. It's tough, but not impossible. Here's how I go about it:

1. Check beer into Untappd on my phone.

2. Capturing the image is key. Facebook images are what I call "non-persistent" in that FB servers only maintain them for about 3 days, whereas Untapped images stay up much longer because of image hosting on their servers.

3. Log in to your Rivals account. 99% of time, I use my laptop and Firefox. Edge or Chrome works too, just differently.

4. Right-click on the image, then left-click "Open image in new tab".

5. Separate window should appear. Copy link to image and post here.

I've only been able to complete above process once entirely from my phone. Usually my "fumble fingers" will not allow.

Good luck.

Try this:

iPhone: touch and hold the image you want. Copy. Paste url into pictures link.

My work phone is also an iPhone. I'll check into it more today.

I'm not on there. I'll sort it out, I see lots of conversations I can read through to find the solution.
If you register for an Untappd account, then you can upload all the beer pictures you take. Additionally, you provide your opinion of the individual beer.

After uploading the photo, you comment and rate the specific beer. No cloud storage required. All these photos I post here are copied from actual beers I check in on Untappd. You can even refer to the pub or bar where you purchased beer or choose "Untappd at Home". Very easy. Apps for iPhone or Android. All free, by the way.

My handle on Untappd is beerhunter101. Thanks.
